Rating: Summary: the Woman's Book of Resilience: 12 Qualities to Cultivate Review: After many years of helping her patients individually and collectively bounce back and thrive in their lives, Dr. Beth Miller has wisely put it all together for those of us she hasn't seen yet!
However we experience the world on any given day, one or all of these qualities of resilience, in practice, widen our capacity to recover from daily stress or traumatic, overwhelming experiences and enjoy life more wonderfully. The chapters defining all the qualities of resilience are full of depth, wisdom, clarity and ideas to practice. Dr. Miller offers us ways to see and live life as it really is, without needing to make it different. Her writing expresses ease and comfort to the reader, skillfully showing us how fundamentally and humanly we all have the same needs. I noticed while reading this book how our stories or strategies might be different, but our shared ability to access and refine our inner resources of resilience for these tough times is what helps us all restore balance. I felt much more hope for a cooperative and compassionate world after reading this great book. I will find a permanent place for it on my nightstand!
Thank you Dr. Miller for this wonderful contribution to women!

Her remarkably clear and useful book will enable women everywhere to master a deceptively simple yet manageable, step by step process for readers confronting a range of life's challenges -from depression to everyday stress to the anxiety many of us are experiencing due to rampant change and uncertainty in the world. Dr. Miller's innovative process is based on her vast clinical experience and will help readers both improve the quality of their lives and discover personal strengths they barely knew they had. Bravo Beth Miller! for a superb book that I will recommend wholeheartedly to women in both my professional and personal lives.
