Rating: Summary: Some Info... Review: After doing a little research, and reading he didn't put actual cures in the book but could have, I quickly found that isn't true. He CAN'T...
[...]
The information includes the following statement:
In addition, Trudeau cannot make disease or health benefits claims for any type of product, service, or program in any advertising, including print, radio, Internet, television, and direct mail solicitations, regardless of the format and duration.
If this means the rest of the book is true, I wouldn't know & have no comment...
Rating: Summary: A Must-Read For Every American- Especially Parents Review: Great compilation of information for busy people who don't have time to browse the net for hours or read 50 books on health. Lists types of alternative healing methods to consider instead of being victimized by the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. I have already made many of the over 100 suggestions to a healthier life and plan to add more even though I do not take prescription or OTC drugs.
I don't think that the reviewers here who knocked the book read it cover to cover! The info is interspersed through the book, not given in one big list. Or maybe they are employed in the healthcare industry. The information provided is new to many people. Also has a great list of suggested reading and the online newsletter is great. Great article on microwave oven danger.
Rating: Summary: No magic bullet Review: I have seen the info-commercial twice and agree this man is a great salesman but after reading a friend's copy, I have to say this is no Hidden causes of Heart Attack and Stroke which had a similar theme, but is actually loaded with real lifesaving information. Sorry but there are no magic bullets - no one cure for everything.
Rating: Summary: It Is an eye-opener Review: I must admit that Kevin Trudeau is a good promoter. He is so convincing in his infomercials that it is really hard not to buy the products he advertises. However, the book is everything else but what one would expect to get judging by the title and absolutely misleading infomercial.
There are many other books at the market that discuss natural cures, stress reduction methods, proper nutrition, proper breathing techniques, yoga, etc. One good book that immediately comes to my mind is "Can We Live 150 Years?" by M. Tombak.
Kevin Trudeau constantly refers to his website where one supposedly would get full explanation for various topics. The only problem is that no one can get any explanation free of charge. Once you land at the website, you will realize that there is almost nothing that you could learn unless you come up with some kind of payment!
I decided not to pay. (...)
Rating: Summary: read well before you over-react ! Review: I will agree that this book is full of references to a web-site with personal suggestions for specific products...but there are many other references to suggestions for natural healing of the human body that people are overlooking.
We all know the body will fall into dis-ease when loaded with toxins, and toxins can come in many forms. This book basically shows how our choices today can be laden with toxins. Mr. Trudeau simply attempts to suggest ways of cleansing the body of those toxins, with his strong belief that the body will rid itself of the symptoms these toxins have been cuasing.
In the chapters on weight control alone he gives over 20 (twenty) suggestions for helping cleanse toxins from several parts of the body that may lead to weight-gain and cause difficulty in weight-loss. Again, he does not give specific product information so you can out and buy it now, but he does mention his web-site that is filled with the information leading you to his favorite products that will accomplish these tasks.
I could not afford the monthly payments or the lifetime payment, so I did the next best thing. I researched the internet to see what other people were saying were the best products to accomplish these cleansings. I have already sent for four products, some bought on an auction web-site, and have commenced one of the cleansings. It's been three days and I am feeling a resurgeance of energy and hope to see more positive results.
I can see where everyone has become upset by the web-site reference, though. Trudeau claims, in this book, that he did prison time for fraud, and this book seems to be along the same lines, so you feel a little cheated. But he is a business man, and good one at that. This is a free country, and if you didn't like his book, he gives you a money back gaurantee.
I have kept the book and am continuing with the many rituals he suggest. I will keep the ones I like and discard the ones I can't do on a regular basis, and hope I can rid myself of some of my own health concerns that I am dealing with.
Good Reading...hope this sheds a little more light on this book.
Rating: Summary: Should have been named Review: Kevin is a good talker and saleman. There are NO CURES in the book at ALL. Please save your money. I bought the book because of the title and thinking it had natural cures in it..NONE TO BE FOUND. He wants you to go to his website and lay out more money, (...). If you go to the web site there is NO EMAIL address to write if you have a question. Save your money folks, I wish I would have!!

Rating: Summary: I feel like I've been DUPED by Kevin Trudeau! Review: Okay, so I thought the infomercial was interesting. Thought I'd buy the book. BIG MISTAKE! There are NO CURES in this book. Kevin Trudeau is as unscrupulous as the "big pharmaceutical" companies he talks about. He wants you give even MORE of your money to him by subscribing to his website for the cures. My guess is they are not even on it either. If he was a "true crusader" for natural health and natural cures, he'd do everything possible to give the knowledge away. He's just out to make a buck. Speaking of which, I'd like about $30 of them back!
Would I recommend this book? - not in this lifetime.
Rating: Summary: Natural Cures you'll have to pay extra $ to know about Review: The book is full of great information: "whistle blowing" facts that enlighten us about the FDA monetary interests that leave us all consumers in a lose-lose situation, the perils of all the additives and chemcials in food, etc. BUT its more a tantrum, delirium tremens, "I am a hero going against the big companies" book, that offers no natural cures, unless you join the author's club, follow his pals links and buy hundreds and hundreds of dollars in products. Still it's worth the money for the info, eventhough a bit extreme (Trudeau states humans shouldn't use deodorants- arguing that if you are cleansed, you won't have BO, recommends daily colonics and toe rings as the magic cure for modern health ailments and states that we shouldn't apply typical commercial shampoos or creams that we couldn't eat..."if you could get sick eating then why use them on your body?". I joined the author's club out of curiosity and a bit of admiration and still am waiting for the ellusive Natural Cures promised in his infomercial.
Rating: Summary: Like A Seinfeld Rerun... Review: This truly is A B0OK ABOUT NOTHING. He repeats the same nonsense over and over. The best one is to get 15 COLONICS IN 30 DAYS! In reality, how could you even sit down? Get Serious!
At least Seinfeld was entertaining and was free! In reality, the only people getting the colonics are the ones actually buying this pos book without reading the reviews first, while Kevin laughs all the way to the bank. P.S. Hurry and ready the reviews, they have a strange HABIT OF DISAPPEARING!
Rating: Summary: Book about nothing. Review: We all know and love the "Show about nothing." But this is a book about nothing. I didn't come across any of the other reviews until I had purchased this book off ebay from a "no refunds" seller. Joy. Anyway. I gave this book 2 stars just in case some one is a conspiracy buff, and is certain that the government is out to get us all. To me, the most ridiculous thing in the whole book was to suggest that we all become Scientologists. As for the cures, as you already know from the other posts, are not in this book. Instead, it directs you to his website (still under construction) where you can join for a monthly fee. In the fine print it says that the website, when fully functional, MAY contain natural cures for diseases. To me, that was just a way to make himself a loophole so he can not put the cures up ever. I for one will not be duped again by this guy. I bought this book hoping it would help me, because I suffer from severe, complicated, migraines. All it did was help me part with $34 dollars. As one last saving grace (but not enough to save the book) in Chapter 11, titled, "Still not Convinced?" Kevin lists tons of great books that people can refer to about different ailments and diseases. Having read many of the books listed, I can say without a doubt that they books he reccommends are far, far, better than his own book. All in all, save your money. If you want natural health advice, find a good health food store, and get friendly with the staff.
