Summary: Sweet Success
Review: As a professional personal coach I found Rich Fettke's "Extreme Success" an excellent resource for tips and techniques for use with my clients (not to mention myself!). My favorite is his idea of dealing wtih fears that inhibit us from doing the things we need to do to move forward in our lives. Called "dancing with your protector," it's an imaginative and powerful way to reframe the obstacles in our lives in a way that can actually propel us forward with a greater liklihood of success.

I host a radio program in Seattle called "The Working Life!(tm)" and have interviewed Rich about his book. I found him to be engaging and sincerely interested in helping all of us to make the most of what we've been given in this life. If we can do that--really do that--then our success will not only be extreme, but sweet.

Summary: Worth the $1.99 I paid
Review: Being an avid reader of self-help books and finding that I constantly slip back into old habits once the last page of the book is turned, I found that at last, here is a book that provides 33 Action Ideas that I can schedule as part of my daily life, and track my progress. The Ideas help you build momentum towards what you want to achieve in the long term but through the daily implementation of the ideas, I feel that I am making progress step by step. Yes, I have fears, and yes, it will be difficult to "dance with those fears " as Fettke suggests but when I look at the exhilerating experiences ( those Extreme Successes ) that I have had in my life, they have all been because I have actually embraced the fear, and moved with it as an ally.
I enjoyed the book and would certainly recommend it.

Summary: Clear focus, less struggle, more momentum
Review: I love the way this book breaks through that old fashioned belief that we have to beat ourselves up and struggle to improve our success.

That doesn't mean we don't have to put in an effort. The author actually writes, "There's nothing I embrace more than achieving something new that's going to require real effort. What I don't believe is that effort automatically links with struggle, which further links to negativity." Fettke goes on to say, "All struggle produces is a situation where the enjoyment is sucked out of what you're doing -- even if the outcome is successful."

It's a refreshing approach to the old push, push, push mentality of many books on success. Extreme Success gave me ways to stop fighting my fear, I learned several tips on how to deal with overwhelm, and I gained new strategies that have helped me be more focused and effective -- not only at work, but in all areas of my life.

Summary: Great BOOK - Great INTERVIEW
Review: I loved this book. Rich is a great story teller and he actually had my stomach doing flip flops as he described jumping out of planes from 14,000 feet and climbing up 350 foot sheer cliffs. It could be my love for the outdoors that captured my attention, but I now count this as one of the best success books I've ever read and I'm already going back through it carefully and doing all of the exercises.

I believe this book will capture the heart of any success minded person.

I interviewed Rich Fettke on "The Inside Success Show" and he is an extremely knowledgeable and fun guy. The stories he tells will make your heart pound with desire to succeed without struggle.
Here's some of what you'll learn from the book:
** Why you must learn the new strategy of "success without a struggle
** What simple steps you can take to balance you life
** How you can avoid getting killed by the lies of the devil's fear and rely on your Protector Fear
** Why you must keep your eye on the future you want
** How you can start your journey to success without limits today
** And much, much more ..

Summary: Serious about improving? Get this book.
Review: I've read and listened to MANY "success books", If you are serious about having a great life and being successful, you need to read more than one success book. This book is one of the best. Most important is that there is "to do" lists and blank forms that make it easy TO DO. The only thing more important than reading all these success books is to ACT ON THEIR ADVICE. Rich makes it easy to act, that is paramount on the road to a successful life.

Summary: How far can you get by going it alone?
Review: Many small business people and managers I work with hold on so tightly to the notion that self-reliance and hard work is what allowed them to achieve their success. That may be true to some extent. It's also a big reason why they sought out a professional personal coach. Somehow, they realized that something was holding them back. Fettke shows us what they've been missing -- the ability to create powerful partnering relationships and collaborate. Fettke shows us how to develop key alliances and leverage the help of other people. He gets you thinking about who and how others might give you what you need to achieve more with less effort. There are many people who can help, certainly not just coaches. Almost all great things, and great people, are built with the help of others. The quicker one discovers this simple idea, the faster and farther one will fly.

Summary: Caution ... Changes Ahead!
Review: This book is highly energized and focused. I could tell that Rich cares deeply about helping others overcome fears and create purposeful lives. Filled with inspiring success stories from the author's own life and from his clients, this easily consumable volume contains invaluable tools for achievement. I've since implemented both the FEAR acronym (Focus Explore Assess Respond) and Success Partnering -- they make sense and they work!

Open this book to virtually any page and you'll find both inspiration and methods for living your dream -- now. Careful! You may stop struggling and start succeeding!
