Summary: The Pen IS Mightier Than the Sword
Review: He says all the right things, but does he look good on paper?? That's the question I asked myself after reading "Mr. Write." How could I (how could anyone) resist the temptation to find out using the well-written, clear and insightful analyses provided by Ms. East. Intelligent, witty and sometimes disturbing, Ms. East shows us how cryptology reveals a person's personality through the simple act of writing a note and how anyone can can apply those theories. In addition, she provides easy to understand examples. So, if you're wondering if he's as good as he seems, or too good to be true. Is he kind, open, generous and straightforward or critical, controlling and deceitful? Find out for yourself. By the way, I did. Fortunately, I learned enough to to confirm what I already knew, which was, that while the gentleman in question may not be Mr. Right, he's perfectly suited for Mr. Right Now!! So I'm keeping pen and paper handy while my search continues.

Review: I attended a lecture/book signing last week at the Jamaican Embassy in Washington DC. Beverly East gave us a "crash course" in graphology, borrowing from the material in her book. I had been somewhat skeptical of the science of graphology, but Ms. East made a true believer out of me. The one issue I always had with grapholoy was that people change in their charactaristics and traits, so I thought graphology could not be an accurate science. Ms. East addressed this concern, stating that one's handwriting can change as they change. Also, when someone is feeling stressed, or any other emotion(s) differing from their usual state, their handwriting reflects that change. When she evaluates a person's handwriting, she likes to have a recent sample about a day old, not something from six months ago. Ms. East is extremely knowlegable and won over skeptics who were in the audience (myself included). A critic has said that her book should be on the shelf with the thesaurus (allow me to second that). She stated that her book was not a male-bashing book. When I initially read the title, That was not my concern so much as the idea that this book would be like that ridiculous book "The Rules" and put us women back 30 years. Not so! (Thank God). Graphology is a 16th century science and gender has no effect on a person's handwriting and the traits they show through their script. I thought the information I had would be of some help to you. No, I do not work for her or the publishers of her book and do not even know her, I had to go to the lecture for a class assignment, but am very happy I went. Buy this book!

Summary: Must read!
Review: I'll say this much: When I've put a few handwriting samples to the test, the theories in this book have been eerily dead on. I'm looking at my own handwriting differently. Combining a look at graphology and a quest for romance is what I call applied science and Ms. East pulls it off in language both fun and easy to read. Shelve this one next to your dictionary and thesaurus.

Summary: A must read for everyone who is in or wants a relationship.
Review: Not many books accoomplish the task of instructing their readers without their being aware of it. "Finding Mr. Write" by Beverley East has mastered the art of doing just that. The book is very informative and written with a lot of wit. Ms. East definitely knows her stuff and did a very good job of communicating handwriting analysis to the non-graphologist. A must read for anyone looking to find out more about a mate (potential or current) or anyone in their life now. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!!!!

Summary: MUST HAVE!
Review: This book is a must have to anyone interested in many topics. Relationships, Personalities and, most of all, Graphology. I have read many books on Graphology and the Analysis of Hand Writing and find this to be the most accesible yet. It is wonderful! Not only informative but entertaining, I can learn and have fun at the same time, I love that. This book is a treasured addition to my library.

Summary: Finding Mr. Write
Review: This book is quite unlike your typically self-help books. It provides the reader with a 'slant'on the intricacies of finding a mate. The best thing about the book is that the reader can use it to improve their own personal characteristics AND see if that significant other is really the one for you. Although the art of graphology is quite new to me, I found the book quite interesting. Also this is an easy read for those of us with little to no time for leisure reading. You can choose the 'hour' of your choice for traits you find the most important in a relationship. As far as validity of the science of graphology, I'm totally not bought on it yet. After I recieve my in-depth analysis from Ms. East then I'll make judgement. Until then, I think Ms. East succeeded in creating an interesting, thought provoking tool to use for understanding why people act the way they do.

Summary: New way of looking at a very basic thing - Handwriting
Review: Wow, what a wonderful experience to read such a different type of book. Beverley is a wonderful and skilled writer who broke it down for me, a lay person, to understand. Even though I am married and have already found Mr. Write it was nice to have this book confirm some things about my husband and I. I really enjoyed reading it straight through, and will refer back to it many times. Can't wait to read more by Ms. East.
