Summary: Rather than giving us steps
Review: Michael DeMaria doesn't give you a how to unfold your being like many authors may; rather, Michael shows you the steps he took--most of these steps guided by teachers/elders.

Although there are times when Michael seems a bit fluffy and perhaps bordering on the New Age, there is substance in most of what Michael shares in these pages.

Ever Flowing On shows us that Unfolding one's being is a journey of discovery and of hard work. One must struggle to find their place in community and struggle to amend the flaws within their character. Michael gives a vaild path and shows you his own unfolding within the pages of the book. There are times when Michael articulates ineffable feelings with brilliance, and there are other passages that perhaps could have been stated more succinctly; however, this is a work of some value and could be a welcome addition to any student's collection of books, regarding ontology.

A word of caution; Michael is not advocating that anyone read this book and then attempt to "Become Indian" moreover, Michael is attempting to show that there is a connection of our being to other living things on the planet.

My caution for potential readers is to take any teaching with a grain of salt and check with your own elders from your own culture before proceeding with application--trust the old people!

The book reads very quickly, and although based on Michael's experience and education, reads, at times, like an adventure novel. I have no reservation in recommending the book to those interested in an alternative view more in line with the East and with Indigenous peoples across the globe.
