Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Nothing ... About It Review: Don't let the title mislead you. There's nothing ... about it (except for the price.) This gem contains some very valuable information. I normally read mostly history, so I'm not into "fluff." Dr. Buffington combines the science of psychology with practical lessons one will find useful whether one is currently in a relationship or still looking. Dr. Buff's delightfully witty and concise writing style make this book loads of fun to read. You'll breeze right through it and then want to keep it nearby for reference. I've bought extra copies as gifts for friends who also loved it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Nothing ... About It Review: I saw Dr. Buff on "The Other Half" for the Valentine's episode and immediately went to Amazon.com to buy the book. It is amusing but factual and helpful. It won't replace counseling, but it is guaranteed to spice up your love life - if you dare! I highly recommend it if you're looking to add a new perspective to your relationship or if you're looking to get into one. Reading this book will make you more attractive to the opposite sex :))

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Cute, but mostly cheap Review: Most of this information you've probably seen before if you've read anything similar. Bear in mind that the title tells all: cheap tricks. There is no overarching theme to the book, just a random collection of facts, albeit interesting ones. It won't take you long to read and it won't be something that you'll ever use as a reference to return to. Still, it is what it is and it does a fair job at that.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great Info! Great fun! Review: The 55 strategies in the newest _Cheap Tricks_ book show, once again, that Dr. Buff knows what we really are: human ANIMALS! Many of the tips reveal "secrets" of how to capitalize on our physical senses to attract and keep mates. From scent to taste to touch, why people stay and why they stray, this book has substantial insights that can rescue a floundering relationship and inject some passion into a stale but stable couple.Scientificly bawdy, with humor and common sense, this book is NOT about what you're doing wrong. It's for men and women who want specific instructions that will yield measurable results. I'm giving _Cheap Psychological Tricks for Lovers_ to my guy so I can reap some of the benefits he's been getting (Tricks #28, #33, and #49). I'm getting Amazon.com to send gift-wrapped copies to friends and relatives. They'll be thrilled with the _Cheap Tricks_ and won't notice the cheap price.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Common Knowledge Review: The book is a collection of various tidbits of psychological research and footnotes on where to go to get further information. Presented in a fun and light style it is easy to read and presents some interesting items. I don't really like the title because the items are not really cheap tricks. They are pieces of information collected from many sources that are at least educational in nature. There are parts that are very useful and may help each partner understand each other better. Would I use this to try to save a floundering relationship? No, but on the other hand, if you are trying to understand each other or get the other person's attention then it has several techniques for that purpose. All in all it is fun and interesting and I enjoyed reading it. At least when it described some of the ways that men think it was dead on. Hopefully, it is just as accurate when describing the way that women think and you can gain some understanding of your spouse.
