Rating: Summary: Why are we treated like dummies? Review: I'm tired of reading books that are written for 8 year-old children. The book, instead of giving you scientific data, and to make you feel able to decide for yourself, gives you "recipies"; i.e.: paths to follow. I don't want this! I don't want to adapt to the same system than everyone! I want to use scientific information to my private life. It is a shame that a person that has spent all hes life studying and doing research has chosen to write such a stupid-oriented book. It seems this techniques were not useful even for it's author: otherwise I can't undertand why she decided to spent all her life writing for such a stupid audience. Why does she invent so many anecdotes, that are evidently created for the purpose of this book, and not taken from real-life experience?!?! Is she expecting to make me believe them? I'm sorry for her. What a wasted life! And the bibliography, whith its less-than-15 publications (more than five belonging to the author!) just makes me laugh! Why does she pretend to be such an authority on the subject, when she is not able to give a good background of research?
Rating: Summary: A Unique Tool to Harness Your Bio-Chemistry Review: Need to be more sharp before a speech or meeting? Doing the overnight shift or an "allnighter" in school? This book will give you some great information on how to harness your bio-chemistry to work for you, by using small amounts of food. Facinating information to try. I think this is invaluable for someone looking into doing some fine tuning in their daily lives. I would only caution though, that this should not be followed "like a bible" but read to experiment. As the author states, it takes some patience to find the right food and amount. But used like that, this book can be a unique tool that I have not found anywhere else.

Rating: Summary: IT DESERVES ZERO STARS Review: The key question is, does the author know anything about the connection between food, metabolism and health? The obvious answer is a resounding NO! If you're interested in learning about this fascinating field and applying it to yourself I would recommend the books NUTRITION and YOUR MIND, and THE PSYCHOCHEMICAL RESPONSE by Dr. George Watson; and the derivative book BIOBALANCE: The Acid/Alkaline Solution to the Food-Mood-Health Puzzle by Dr. Rudolf Wiley. These 3 books are based on double blind placebo studies based in turn upon the application of metabolic rate kinetics. It's not surprising that Watson and Wiley obtained multiple Ph.D.s in biochemistry, mathematics and biophysics. It's not suprising that THE definitive pioneering breakthroughs in this field have come from outlanders and not from an M.D. or (yawn) a nutritionist or (worst yet) a clinical psychologist, 3 so-called professionals who know little other than how to make money selling books via the talk-show circuit.
