Rating: Summary: Sensual and Exquisite!!!! Review: This book is nothing less than pure pleasure to read. The eyes feast upon the gorgeous pictures while drinking in the fabulous words, information and blend recipes....Wow!!! This is a "must-have" book for all aromatherapists!
Rating: Summary: Fit only for the coffee table Review: This is a politically-correct coffee table book, nothing more. There are books both more practical and more beautiful, and more experiential to boot. Depending on one's cultural background and personal experience, scent can be described in a myriad of ways, but Lind prefers an elitist, non-inclusive approach. That's too bad, because aromatherapy could change the world. It's presented here as just another boutique item for people with too much money and time on their hands.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful book Review: This is a wonderful book. Being new at Aromatherapy I found it really interesting what the different scents can do. Although I haven't tried making them myself I have experienced the effect of some of them. Couldn't believe how just smelling something can change your whole mood. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in making your own oils and experiencing the different effects they have on you.
Rating: Summary: A compact gem Review: While not a clinical textbook on the subject, Aromatiques is a delightful entry point into the sensuous world of Aromatherapy.
The book does have a formula approach to the design, but this formula has popular appeal and unlike so many entry level books on this very misunderstood subject has been written by an author who has done her years at the coalface and is a well respected and admired practitioner in her area of aromatherapy.
If you are looking for a book to dabble in aromatherapy or a delightful present for friends this will appeal.
