Summary: Get Unstuck!
Review: BLEW ME AWAY! A very long title but a very short and easy to read book. I read and reread this small book about 4 times in one month. If your stuck in life and you need a little dynamite to get you moving again this little book should do the trick. Although you may have heard it all before, his approach is a bit different. Dogmatic and aggressive, the author gets is your face and personal. You will have no more excuses when your done with this book! You have been warned!

Summary: Excellent simple to understand message
Review: Dr. Anthony does an excellent job of breaking down the spiritual and psychological makeup of humans into understandable delineations. Then he gives useful, doable, techniques that assist you in 'reprogramming' yourself into what you consciously choose, not what others may have chosen for you. His message is positive and exciting, short and simple. There is a strong underlying spiritual message that places a Higher Power at the center of all positive change. This book is not preachy, new agey, religious or zealous. It's very matter of fact, and I sense no ego from the author, which is usually the case with these types of books. My only complaint, is the 'packaging' of this book. Sort of like something you'd see on the shopping network. The cover reads like a screeching two-bit snake oil 'self help' salesman, so unlike the inside. The only reason I haven't bought copies for everyone I know. I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover, and hey, I picked one up the first time, didn't I?! My copy has been read and reread, dogeared and hightlighted. A wonderful book.

Summary: Honoring the self
Review: I bought in April this year this book, together with Nathaniel Branden's "How to raise your self-esteem". I did not know these two authors. I read about two pages of this book and then put it in an corner. Then I opened Branden's book; to date, I have read seven of his books; some of them, being out of print, were very hard to find. Read both authors and decide yourself.

Summary: The power is in you!
Review: I read this book over 6 years ago and now have several copies I carry round with me to reread whenever I have the opportunity. This book, in one clear sentence "Turned my life around!" I highly recommend it to those seeking wisdom, fighting dispair, and trying to understand the nature of people and to gain insight into yourself. I am looking for the author to thank him. I was living in a one room shack, (one of several over the past years), and now have a tremendous home. I have traveled around the world, increased my income over 4 times, been promoted four times, helped my family graduate from college and launch their careers, have a beautiful wife and a new beautiful daughter. Read this book in the still of the morning before sunrise for an hour clip at a time, and see if you are not transformed too!!!!! PS - I am looking for this book on cassette. I understand that there was a multi-casstte volume at one time.

Summary: a second bow to Emerson
Review: I would agree with the reviewer who said that Anthony should give credit to Emerson for many of the basic ideas in this and other of his books. In fact, most of the info. in this and scores of books of similar genre have become pretty much new agey, generic stuff about looking for the answers within, setting and writing down goals, visualizing, etc. You've got to hand it to these guys for enterprise though; they really know how to find a market need and exploit, er fill it. In this case the market is the estimated 30 - 40% of the population that is high in self-doubt and low in self-confidence. Which of us can resist such catchy, promising titles as "Advanced Formula for Total Success" or "Achieving Total Self-Confidence." It must be nice to be the alpha males on the other side of the spectrum not troubled with such annoying anxieties and doubts and able to take advantage of these opportunities and get wealthy themselves in the process. One question: Doctor Robert Anthony really is a "doctor," right? The reason I ask is that I've read most of his books and nowhere did I find mention of what doctorate he has or where he received it. Other self-improvement gurus like Wayne Dyer and Scott Peck clearly state their credentials. I read an article that many self-anointed, self-improvement gurus go around giving seminars with Doctor in front of their names which turn out be bogus. In any case, you can save a lot of book reading by following their basic advice and looking inward to draw from the same source they do for all the answers you'll ever need.

Summary: Honoring the self
Review: The message in this little gem seems so obvious, once you've read it. All change, positive and negative, begins with you. If you want to change some aspect of your life, start by changing yourself, first. That's quite an empowering belief! this is a wonderful book that's easy to read and striking in its scope.
