Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Psychological Analysis of the Physician--at its best!
Review: Simply, this book is superb! Physicians do not like to be analyzed; they are afraid of the personality traits and ailments which make them dysfunctional. This book, along with, "The Medical Marriage," (by the same authors), proves somebody does understand the immense psychological profile of the physician--be it a neurosurgeon or family physician. Their understanding of the training, business operations, and daily interactions physicians have with their staff, each other, hospital administrators, and their families--which lead to their dysfunctionalities--forms the backbone of this book. Simply, any marriage counselor, hospital administrator, family counselor, psychologist, or psychiatrist who treats, advises, or recommends treatment to a physician--and their spouse--MUST read this book (and its companion, "Medical Marriage.). Fascinating insight.
