Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Definitely worth reading! Review: This book is a wonderful resource for anyone who has been touched by cancer, whether dealing with their own diagnosis or that of a family member, friend or loved one. For most of us, just being on "the sidelines" of the disease can be daunting and overwhelming. But for someone facing the words "you have cancer", time is too valuable to waste trying to sort out what to do about it. Ms. Schreiner's book is a practical and objective insider's view of the realities of fighting and surviving cancer, shared by someone who has been there. This well written, easy to read book, based on first-hand experience, offers everything from detailed technical information on treatment options, including drugs, surgery and other therapies, to practical advice on insurance and coping strategies for friends and family. It's well worth the short amount of time it will take to read.
