Summary: Not for Europeans
Review: Actually this book made me feel rather good, not because it revolutionised my attitude towards my own wardrobe (it didn't), but because it showed me that basically I already do things right, like wearing clothes in my proper size. Call me a "Eurosnoot", but this and most of the other problems and inhibitions mentioned in the book struck me as somehow rather "American" - I for one can't think of any European woman friend of mine identifying with them, except maybe the wardrobe full of things one never wears.
I had expected a style/colour sort of guide, what I got was more of a self help book for absolute beginners without the slightest clue, featuring a lot of time-consuming therapeutical activities - definitely not what I wanted.
To all those who feel the same way, I can recommend "Color me beautiful" by Carole Jackson, by now almost a classic, plus Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine's "What not to wear" (book and/or DVD) - there I found just the sort of practical advice I was looking for.

Summary: WOW!
Review: I dedicated three days to reading and doing all the exercises in this book because it is soooo much fun!!!! She really offered me the help I needed, and I just loved her energy throughout the whole book, I am sure I will start reading again soon. It is the most fun I have ever had with a book or fashion magazine because she really understands the insecurities and problems that face us shopping and fashioned challenged people. So thank you Brenda!! I feel like a whole new woman, I am a good shopper now, a little too good....

Summary: Very liberating - find yourself!!!
Review: I loved this book. I really found it so helpful in helping me to define my own individual style. Now I'm really happy with my wardrobe and actually (shock, horror!) enjoy shopping! This wonderful book also inspired me to redecorate my house and find my own decorating style. It is really helpful, written in a very humorous, loving manner and is very supportive. I have been so inspired I am even considering studying fashion and design at college. It is an inspiring book with lots of really great "hands on" helpful tips and advice and very creative activities!!!

Summary: Amazing!
Review: You know what I like about Brenda's books? They make you feel good and celebrate who you are! And Brenda's newest book, "Brenda's Wardrobe Companion: A Guide to Getting Dressed From the Inside out" is no exception.

In the book Brenda acts as your shopping coach. She walks you step by step into the mire of your closet and helps you sort it out so you look and feel good every day.

What do you prefer? A closet choc o'bloc of rarely worn items that have a habit of "disguising, hiding, diminishing and undervaluing you" or a well defined wardrobe that reflects your inner and outer beauty.

You are a gem! And you deserve to look and feel your best. And that's what Brenda promises to help you do in this book.
You begin by identifying what you like. You look at magazines and perhaps clip pictures of the looks that appeal to you.

You use strategies to appreciate your body instead of depreciating your body. Brenda identifies stratiegies to use when shopping to get the look you want. Strategies like, looking for best fit, paying full price when the item is right, dressing for the body you are in not the body you want.

Brenda walks you through a closet streamlining process step by step also. She encourages you to let go of the old that doesn't work (maybe never did ) and bring in fresh appeal.

At the end of the book Brenda helps you pull your look together.
This is a workbook for finally pulling your wardrobe together (and if you have that mastered life is so much easier!)

Brenda really wants to help. She pours her heart and soul into the book to share the best of her knowledge. She wants to make your closet sharp and she wants YOU to feel great about yourself in the process!
