Summary: Being the Best!
Review: I consider 'Lets have Healthy Children' to be one of the most valuable books in the world. Adelle teaches us how to insure our children reach their full genetic potential. The proof is in the putting and you should see my two children that were Adelle Davis babies. Both are well above average intellegence as well as extra healthy and beautiful. Now we start the next generation of Adelle Davis babies in our family. I must find a copy of this book to pass along so my new grandbaby can be the best she can be.

Summary: This woman is a Seer!
Review: I received this book in 1994 as a gift during my pregnancy. The woman who gave it to me no longer could find the book so she copied it and had it bound for me. At first I thought this was a little strange that she would like a book so much that she could not even let me borrow it. But then, after reading these copies and taking so many notes, I was astounded by the absolute genius I was reading! Adelle Davis has to be so far ahead of her time that she must be psychic! It's easy to see by reading her book on things that have since come true and other doctor's who are now encouraging the same things she encouraged when no one else really knew any better! Her advice on nutritional supplements is indispensable! I have told so many other mothers about this book and sadly, no one has really heard of it. This book needs to be in reprint for so many new mother's who would benefit so by her expertise. The reason I feel so strongly about this book and Adelle is because during my preganacy I went to get a manicure and the lady who was taking my nail polish off kept rubbing my nails saying she couldn't get off this clear polish. Well, that's when I looked down and told her that I didn't have any on, that my nails were so shiny from the vitamins! She had this mask of preganacy on her face and she said that she had had it for a number of years and she went to every doctor she could think of and no one could help. She had spent hundreds of dollars on cosmetics and cover-ups. She tried to have laser peels to no avail. She had told me that she had given up trying. Well, I was just finshed with Adelle's book and I remember her saying to combat the mask of pregnancy (melasma) take some Folic Acid. I told this woman about the Folic Acid and she had me write down how much to take and after work, she left to try it. I had to leave then and about 3 months later I came back to see her and to my surprise, her markings were gone! She said that the Folic Acid had done it in just a week and she couldn't thank me enough. I told her to tell others about this book and that would make me happy. Anyway, sorry for the babble, I just love this book. Buy it!

Summary: OUTSTANDING BOOK
Review: I used this book 33 years ago with my children. Now I have gotten a used copy for one of my daughters-in-law, and need to get more for others.

It is absolutely outstanding!

Extraordinary and critical information is provided which is crucial for you and your baby. Even thought it is "old," it is timeless. Our bodies and needs remain the same.

I hope someone will reprint it so that it will be more easily available.

Summary: Let's Have Healthy Children
Review: I was given this book in 1970 when our son had behavioral problems in Kindergarten. What a blessing! It was my introduction to the study of nutrition. I have since given the book to expectant mothers and each without fail has told me they treasure the information gained from it. The index makes it very easy to look up any question. Adele Davis was the mother of the natural food movement. A very thorough investigator of body chemistry. I hope it is soon to be reprinted. A new generation awaits.

Summary: Let's Have Healthy Children
Review: In this classic book for child nutrition, Adele makes understanding how to keep your child healthy so simple. Her story of how she brought both her adopted children back to health is touching and eye-opening. This is a Must Read for any Mother or Mother-to-be. It also gives you great insight applied to yourself. Keep your children and yourself healthy using information that works. It may have been published a while back but the information is still sound today. Human Bodies have not changed that much since she wrote this. In fact, doctors and health professionals just keep (re)discovering the basic truths she wrote about here. Alergies, asthma, building strong bones, preventing colds...is all here. This should be the primary healthcare book for keeping kids well. Give that index a good look. It is the quickest way to solving problems. Doctors should refer to this one and Let's Get Well first.

Summary: Let's Have Healthy Children
Review: LOVED it!!! So informative. I don't understand why this book is out of print. This info is just as valid today as it was when she wrote the book. I plan on doing my utmost to discover why this book is not being reprinted. And see what I can do to change this.

Summary: Let's Have Healthy Children
Review: This book is by far the very best book about nutrition during pregnancy, and early childhood. Adelle discusses how poor nutrition can cause homely children, and low I.Q. scores and a host of other "common" childhood problems. Premature birth, small birthweight, jaundice, SIDS, colic. . . all can be totally eliminated by doing what she teaches! I have two very healthy boys, both weighed 8 lbs at birth. My Nutrition was better the second time (after reading her book which I purchased used at a local thrift store for 50 cents) I had a great home birth, and have a beautiful boy who was totally breastfed for six months, and skipped commercial baby food altogether. I am just sick about not knowing this information with my first son from the beginning. I read everything I could get my hands on regarding pregnancy, childbirth, nutrition, breastfeeding and none of these popular, current books told me even half of what I gathered in just my first quick scan of this book! I am really desparate to get some new copies for some friends and for myself-- my copy is yellowed with age and the pages are brittle! I suggest this one even if you get NO other book during your entire childbearing years!
