Summary: more than a beginners book
Review: Meditation is new to me. I've been kind of doing my own thing and meditating the way I imagined you should do it without any direction (I had in mind that the point was to get away from direction!). I ran across this small book at Whole Foods and am happy to say that I would recommend it as a straightforward guide to what meditation is and different ways to practice it. Within the first 20 pages or so you'll get the basics and be ready to get going.

Review: This book got me off my tush and back on my tush, so to speak. I've been meditating for a while but got out of the habit and forgot why it was important. This book really made a difference in my practice. I highly recommend it. Very readable, simple, but not simplistic. Good stuff for people who don't have time to read a million books on the subject.

Summary: Great for beginners and procrastinators!
Review: This is a wonderful book for those who feel "too rushed to meditate". It introduces a simple and easy method of meditation that is practical and inspiring... leaving no room for excuses! The author writes in a friendly and approachable style, and shows us how we can benefit in all kinds of brief and tiny ways, from even sporadic meditating. Exceptionally practical and inspiring - particularly good for novice meditators who would like to "kick start" their practice
