Review: I have read all of Florence Scovel Shinn's works . . . andre-read them and re-read them. Ms. Shinn wrote her books between 1925and 1940, but through her books I have gained insights into how life works that are timeless and so full of truth! She says, "Nothing ever comes uninvited into your life." This is a painful but true statement. Read this book (and her 3 other books) and learn how to invite into your life ONLY what you need or desire!

Summary: Perhaps the best Western metaphysics writer ever.
Review: I've yet to read anyone past or present who could present such profound ideas of this particular so simply and clearly yet not detract one iota from their content. She clearly cared about her readers, and she wanted them to be able to try these things for themselves. What strikes me most is how she was able to put such a high degree of profound knowledge into such few words. Her books changed my life like no others. No blind/mindless/peasant faith is required with Florence. She wants you to go out and try to prove her wrong. You've got everything to gain and very little to lose insofar as her books aren't expensive at all. And what I love most is that her books apply to all things love, money...you name it. You don't end up having to buy endless editions like some authors on each subject and then have to wade through stuff you've already read from previous books.

After reading The Game of Life and How to Play it, one becomes painfully aware of a fact, that what ever you send out from your mouth, will come back to you. So, it behoves one to send out only good. This book has positive statements for most of the negative ones we tend to use in not-so-good situations of life. This little book is priceless to those of you in need of hope and a little guidance along life's path.
