Rating: Summary: A Must Have For Yo-Yo Dieters Review: Finally...a book that tells the truth. I have been on every diet and am tired of it. The book informs you of the truth behind every diet that I've tried. It gives information that makes sense and works. I am thinking about buying this book for eveyone in my family for Christmas this year. Not just for weight loss, but for better eating habits. Thank you Pam Smith for giving me solid ideas and suggestions for eating healthy and improving my good health!
Rating: Summary: Diet bashing at its best Review: Hi! My name is Pam Chidester, and I am fifty (50) years old. I've been dieting most of my life. I purchased Pamela Smith's book "The Diet Trap" several months ago. It was truly a God-send for me. I know it has helped me and from the mail Pam get's on her website, I know it has helped countless others. I use it nearly everyday as a reference. I have most of Pam's books, and I know that she is trustworthy. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a lasting (not necessarily quick) answer to good health. Thanks and have a great day!!!
Rating: Summary: How to lose weight without losing health, focus, or control Review: In The Diet Trap, nutritionist Pamela Smith shows the reader how to lose weight without losing health, focus, energy, or control. She coherently explains why most fad diets are almost guaranteed to fail and the seven top diet myths to avoid and the six weight-loss schemes to pass over. The Diet Trap shows how to unleash the body's natural ability to lose weight and why losing weight depends as much on when you eat as it does what you eat. The Diet Trap is strongly recommended reading for anyone who has gotten caught up on the revolving treadmill of dieting fads and is looking for a safe, sane, and effective method of losing weight and keeping healthy.
Rating: Summary: Diet bashing at its best Review: This book boils down to Pam's same recommendations as in Food for Life and Eat Well, Live Well, both excellent books. But in this new book she resorts to bashing all other diets out there, with a definite edge to her "voice", only to sum up the recommended way of eating to be yet another "diet" which she calls "The Smart Weigh". She never called her plan that in the other books, yet she acts as if it was called that all along. It is frustrating when an author keeps repackaging the same material to make more money. It's even sadder when a Christian author puts down others in the repackaging in order to do it. I was disappointed by this book.
