Rating: Summary: Full of wisdom Review: Excellent and comprehensive. I found this book to be full of wisdom, warmth and wit. Many practical anger management tools, as well as many profound and helpful insights.
Rating: Summary: Not for me Review: I couldn't finish reading the book. I found the emotional, non-detached language very disturbing. The continuous distinction of "we normal people" and "they angry abusers" didn't appeal to me. Also, it's not always obvious whether the author is giving advice to people who have anger problems themselves or to people who are dealing with an angry person, and I found it very distracting. The organization of the book (just a list of topics numbered from 1 to 102) didn't make it easier to read either.
Rating: Summary: Excellent and practical advice. Review: Mismanaged anger ruins careers, lives, and happiness but there are only a handful of books on the market for the non-sepcialist general reader which address anger problems and handling the anger of others. Managing Anger offers a range of psychological and behavioral insights on what works, what doesn't, and why, with chapters providing case history examples and a range of techniques to try. Excellent, practical advice.
