Summary: Highly Informative
Review: Chilton writes a highly informative and helpful book on brain surgery for the correction of epileptic seizures. It gives medical information that I, as a brain surgery survivor for epilepsy also, did not have before reading the book. I found this book highly helpful and recommend it to any approaching an opportunity for surgery. --- author, Stephanie S. Sawyer,FACING ME, Breaking the Bonds of Seizure Confinement

Summary: Surgery and a Positive Attitude Pay Off
Review: I just finished Leanne Chilton's book, Seizure Free. Since I myself am getting ready to have a temporal lobectomy, it was a great help to read someone else's story. The anger, fear, and disappointments which Ms. Chilton expressed were very familiar to me and undoubtedly to many others . The saga takes one through the onset of seizures, the anguish caused by them, the persistent pursuit of a diagnosis and treatment to brain surgery and the thrill of regaining her former seizure-free life. Ms. Chilton is very methodic in the telling of her story. Her optimistic and persistent attitude was impressive and set an example for the rest of us to follow.

Summary: Needs to be on Top Ten list!
Review: I just finished reading a previous review and was quite perplexed as to why the reviewer felt this book wasn't a good recount of the information one needs to know for having brain surgery. I've read Seizure Free and I've had brain surgery and I can't even begin to tell you how much Ms. Chilton's book did for me. Everything from her experience to what the patient and his/her family will need to know has been included in this book. I think the viewer must have been confused with another book. I give Ms. Chilton a five star and recommend her book to anyone even thinking about brain surgery. Thanks for the information and for the great advice! Respectfully, Mike in California

Summary: An Astonishing View From The Inside
Review: Leanne Chilton's victory is revealed through an emotional journey of chilling, revealing passages into a world many have never understood. It is true that this is must-have information for those suffering seizure disorders. But it is equally true that it speaks of the silent acts of valor that go unseen for their grace and determination. Seizure disorders needn't have touched one's life to draw strength and inspiration from this remarkable work.
