Review: First and foremost thank God this books exists. I am a 28 year-old Latina who has constantly given up everything to make everyone else happy. I never realized that I had the power to stand up for myself until I read this book. Empowering Latinas is my bible,and it goes with me everywhere. I thank Yasmin for writing this book and teaching me how to reclaim my personal power. Most of all, I am proud to know that my five year old daughter will not have to wait until she is 28 (like me) to find her own voice and strength; I will help her find it now.

Thank you for saying the things that most of us Latinas know in our subconscience, but are afraid to express it freely through our hearts and minds. I am a professional 32-year-old Latina whom believed that I was already empowered. Well, let me tell all of you 'Latina Queens' out there, you haven't been truly empowered until you read this book. I wish more women would step up the plate like Yasmin. I've bought five copies of this book to give to my mom, sisters and girlfriends. "Empowering Latinas" lies on a table next to my bedside..it is my bible now.

Review: The author of this book is insightful, intelligent, and indeed, empowering. After reading this book I am able to see the struggle and appreciate the power that every Latina woman experiences. I have used this book for teaching and in psychotherapy...my students and patients loved it! Personally, I, too, found this book to be inspiring and empowering. Did I forget to tell you that I am a Latino male? Men and womnen, you need to read this book for your good and for the good of your families! If you read this book, I promise that you won't regret it.
