Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Second Sight by Judith Orloff, M.D. Review: "Second Sight" is wonderfully validating for readers who experience intuitive flashes and psychic events, as well as a very intriguing read for those who don't. Dr. Judith Orloff's book, which engaged me immediately and felt like a conversation that ended much too soon, builds a sturdy bridge of understanding between the worlds of science and spirituality. Medical doctors and mediums alike can freely traverse Dr. Orloff's territory without feeling as though they've drifted into the enemy's camp. Dr. Orloff doesn't read palms; no psychic call-in lines or tea leaves here. She simply shares her story with warmth and candor, convincing us that it's possible to intuit more about a medical reality than meets the eye. This book offers plentiful proof of the body-mind-spirit connection. It paints a vivid portrait of a new kind of healer; one who not only taps into the rational mind to access scientific knowledge, but also heeds the psychic impressions that invisibly complete the puzzle to effect healing. Dr. Orloff knows these realms. This book gets my highest recommendation.

As a lifelong rebel myself, I'm convinced that a little "rage against the machine" can be beneficial. With age and insight, rage transforms to love, and the resulting energy transfusion can be enormous.
I recommend this book highly!

I found this book enlightening and very helpful in following my spiritual path. It is so refreshing to read a book by someone so educated, yet has continued to keep their mind open to all aspects of living. Her ability to express her views without saying one should live life a certain way is inspiring. Thank you Dr. Orloff for writing this book and I look forward to reading more from you in the future.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of THE most important books I've read in a long time. Review: During my own NDE some 20+ years ago I learned first hand that we are ALL born with an inner voice, a connection to Spirit that goes beyond religion, race, or culture. How we define, use or ignore this voice depends on how, when and where we are raised. If we are repeatedly told 'it was only a dream', 'our imagination', 'a strange coincidence' etc we learn at a very young age to ignore a vital part of who we are.
Thankfully for some, like Dr. Orloff, this inner voice will not be ignored. She and others like her help to remind the rest of us that we are much more than this physical world around us. Second Sight is just such a reminder. By opening her life to us she takes us along on her journey to come to terms with, and finally embrace her psychic/intuitive abilities. Beyond that, she teaches us how to recognize and strenthen our own inner voice and incorporate it into our lives on a daily basis.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Rachel, Executive Assistant, Los Angeles, CA Review: I came upon Judith Orloff's book, "Second Sight", last summer when I had been laid-off from my job and was feeling down and out. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down!
She writes with such a nice style that you feel as if she has written the book especially for you! She talks a lot about how we all have intuition, if we can just stop, and listen.
As fate would have it, I went back east to visit my mother-in-law and even had a job interview while there. I took Judith's book with me and was reading all about intuition, while on the Long Island Railroad, on my way into the city for the job interview and then for a day of shopping. After my interview, I was walking down Park Avenue, when I got a funny feeling to get out of the city as soon as possible. Normally, I would brush-off such a thought and carry on with my plans but this time, I chose not to -- for I had just been reading "Second Sight", about following our gut and listening to that little voice inside. I immediately hailed a taxi and got on the first train out of the city. Once I safely back on Long Island, the HUGE blackout hit the entire eastern seaboard! If I had stayed in the city, as planned, I would have been stuck in Manhattan overnight, alone, with no cash and 3,000 miles away from my home. Cell service was off for millions and the majority of the people in Manhattan had to sleep on the sidewalks that night, without food, water or shelter.
If I hadn't have read her book, I doubt I would have paid any attention to my own intuition and I have Judith Orloff to thank.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Honest, Open and Personal Sharing Of Life's Lessons Review: I just finished reading "Second Sigh", Dr. Judith Orloff's biographical account of her experiences as she grew to embrace her psychic abilities. I bought her latest book, "Positive Energy" first, then decided to purchase "Second Sight" so I could read both books at the same time and get to know more about Dr. Orloff's life leading up to where her work is now. I appreciate the openness and honesty that Judith shares with her readers as she opens up her life experiences for others to learn from. The book offers guidance as well as tools for developing one's own personal psychic gifts. I feel Judith's books read like a good friend talking with you; each point that is made is backed up with a personal example to solidify the meaning. By the time I was done reading "Second Sight", I had learned the value of tuning into MY own feelings, energies and intuitions rather than strictly living my life by logic and reasoning. I have now dipped into "Dr. Judith Orloff's Guide to Intuitive Healing". I feel that my growth as a more intuitive person is on the upswing with Judith's help!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best book written Review: I was happily surprised by Dr. Orloff's book. Reading the book gave me a sense that I am not alone and a completely positive way to look at my experiences. I would highly recommend to this to anyone who is not only interested in psychic experiences but who may have had experiences themselves. It certainly made a positive impact on my life!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Incredible Sight! Review: I was totally engulfed from the very first page. Judith Orloff is truly a gifted writer as well as a gifted psychiatrist and psychic. Dr. Orloff describes in such a way every experience so you are able to feel, see, hear, touch, taste and SENSE it! It is truly a remarkable journey. I could not put the book down it touched my inner most being. She is reachable, human and at the same time unbelievably spiritually connected. You are certain after reading this book to come away knowing that everyone of us are able to connect to the divine; it is our gift, our birthright. After reading Second Sight I realize that Judith is an ordinary person with an extraordinary gift who has followed her callings and is now one of our messengers. She gives hope and light to the world. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE. You will find it has something for everyone - those who need no convincing of the psychic realm and those who are highly skeptical of it. She uses both the left and right brain beautifully.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Integrating Psychic and Analytical Abilities Review: In Second Sight, Judith Orloff, using her own experience, describes so well what it's like to come to terms with innate psychic abilities when we live in a predominately analytical, scientific world. The relief and freedom that comes with acceptance of a hidden part of our nature, and finding that this part of us is useful, opens up a new world in which we feel so much more alive. Even though I've written my own book on this topic, I still feel relief and comfort when I read about others who are healing this left-brain, right-brain split and integrating the capacities of each into their lives. If you are struggling with this issue, you'll find Dr. Orloff's book inspiring.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Fabulous look into Psychic Phenomena from a Psychiatrist Review: Judith started off as many psychically intuititive people do, with a checkered pathway until she accepted her second sight for the gift it was. Most psychic books go into the fluff bunny territory of the hows and wherefores, where this book is a window into the soul and development of a professional who learned to incorporate her intuition into her practice as an MD and Psychiatrist to boot. A must read for those who have often wondered if they are psychic only to have the natural world around them collapse and expand as it does for those with a gift ... A gifted reader will find that they are not crazy for some of the things they have gone thru in their lives to get to where they are now, this lady did and became a medical professional to boot.
