Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Too many unhealthy tips! Review: A reviewer, October 28, 2003, I can't believe it. For years I have tried every diet to lose 8 lbs. Nothing worked. A friend mentioned a book that dealt with losing weight through a behavioral approach. Needless to say, I HAD to read this. The book of course was Conquer Your Food Addiction. As you read it, you realize how sensible Caryl Ehrlich's program is. It's clear to follow, and by the end of the book, you're eat differently, and the best part, you're thinner. It really worked! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent Book! Highly Recommend it Review: After struggling with losing and maintaining weight for most of my life, this book really "clicked" with me. It helped me to understand my food "triggers" -- and how to change my habits so that I no longer respond to them. Very practical, easy to understand the concept, and easy to follow her plan. Highly recommend this for anyone who struggles with weight. I especially liked it that there is no "diet" involved -- just learning new (and better) habits.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Turned my life around Review: I read this book on a whim...and tried most of her suggestions...mainly, eating slower at mealtime. It really worked. I am on my way to losing those pesky last 10 pounds. I have given up chips and other finger foods, because I tell myself "I know what those taste like..." I am also not telling people I am doing this, as Caryl suggests. This is the first program that addresses the behavioral issues. This a permanent solution. It makes sense... is easy to follow. Buy this book...you will not be sorry. The only thing you will need is a new wardrobe in a much smaller size. Thank you Caryl!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Too many unhealthy tips! Review: I read this book, and although it is "helpful" in some ways, I found a lot of the information in there to be a bit obsessive. I mean, building a wall made out of salt and pepper between you and the bread basket? One of the "Quantum Leaps" is "emergin hipbones and cheekbones"? Speaking as someone who has had anorexia for the last 15 years, I'd have to say that this book doesn't so much teach one to conquer their food addiction as it does teach one to become obsessed with avoiding food. I can't believe some of the things it suggests you do... A bit over the top in my opinion.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I took it off and kept if off with The Caryl Ehrlich Program Review: In 1982 I took The Caryl Ehrlich Program in New York City. I did not have much weight to lose but it kept fluctuating up and down, up and down seven pounds; and it haunted me. Caryl taught me how I could be in control of 'it' rather than 'it' of me. I lost the weight and have kept it off all these years. What I learned was the techniques to use when I occasionally gain a few pounds. This program still works because it is not a diet; and I hate diets! It is a behavioral approach to changing your habits and removing the fear of food. CONQUER YOUR FOOD ADDICTION enabled me to relive the program, reinforce what I knew and gain many new insights. On top of it all, this book is a fun read! I recommend it highly to all who struggle with pounds, both great and small.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Book worked for me - Review: We've all tried dieting and exercise to lose weight. I've got a pesky 20 pounds that takes a lot of work to get off and little time to get back on. Caryl Ehrich illustrates an approach that can work for anyone. Merely small alterations to lifestyle, to the way you view eating and food. I have found that this book simplifies what so many have tried to make complicated. It could be a life-changer! A behavoiral approach. I strongly recommend this book to anyone wanting to end the frustration of other methods and start on the road to you having permanent control of your weight.
