I love the easy to follow workout charts that come with the book. I even love to workout when I travel, now, because I don't want to stop feeling "Forever Young".

Rating:  Summary: A Fun Personal Training Guide To Better Health And Fitness Review: I love this book. The Cuva's provide a simple, clear, user-friendly, common sense, fun, exercise and nutrition guide for all ages. Owning this book is like having your own personal trainer at a fraction of the cost. As a baby boomer, I am becoming more and more interested in maintaining a healthy mind and body. All baby boomers who want to keep their health, eliminate those aches and pains, feel and look younger, should read this excellent book. Follow the Cuva's expert advice, like I have and feel your health improve, see your weight go down and watch your energy level rise. Read the book and feel young again at any age. If being healthy and looking good is important to you, I highly recommend this book.

I've now found one in Frank and Karen Cuva's, FOREVER YOUNG, Your Personal Trainer.I discovered weight training at age 63 when I finally decided to do something for the health of my bones. This book has been the perfect guide. The authors give step by step, easy to follow and clearly illustrated instructions on the correct path to weight lifting--without injury. And they don't stop there! With an engaging style they share their own personal stories of advancement in the arenas of bodybuilding and fitness (truly inspirational). They address issues of motivation, nutrition and age appropriate progression. Included in the book are enough workout charts to take you through an entire year without repeating a routine. What comes through loud and clear in this book is that Frank and Karen Cuva really care about all of us folks stumbling our way toward fitness. Whether you work with a personal trainer full-time or you are your own personal trainer, this book is invaluable!

Rating:  Summary: Great Book! Review: If you always want to be young, then this is the book you were looking for. Workout charts I received along with this book is really good and very easy to follow. This book is an incredible companion for the people doing weight training. Their instructions are clear cut, step by step, easy to follow and clearly illustrated instructions on the correct path to weight lifting--without injury.
I read the book and I thought, this doesn't sound too bad, but I found myself miserable. I just was frustrated after a week....it was very regimented. I did benefit by eliminating my coffee habit with the help of a wonderful coffee substitute called soyffee (www.s o y c o f f e e .com) Its made from soybeans which is a godsend for those troubled with hot flashes like myself. Another book I bought was the South Beach Diet book. I read that book and found the plan to be made up of things I would eat and the items were normal grocery store items so no hunting at the health food stores or buying online.
We have to be thankful to the authors for making us all fit and healthy.

Rating:  Summary: FINALLY! A Fitness Book for MY age group! Review: WOW! This is a TERRIFIC book, designed to assist rather than intimidate those baby boomers taking up weight training. It has been proven that weight training is one of the most efficient ways to increase strength, preserve metabolism, strengthen bones, and stave off osteoporosis in both men and women; thus, many are taking up the practice. This book is geared to the more mature set, (though the exercises are certainly effective on the younger crowd)! However, unlike books where the photographs usually depict models under the age of 30, this book's every page uses gorgeous models, (male and female), who are MY age and older! You get the feeling when you go from page to page..."hey...she looks GREAT...[I think she's older than ME! YES!!!]...if SHE can do it, what's stopping me?!?" And the male models? Ladies and gentlemen alike will be inspired! It is a veritable treasure chest of solidly supported, time tested, perfectly illustrated KNOWLEDGE in how to preserve one's physical youth, (if not actually turn back the hands of time)! The exercises range from the "oh my GAWSH this is too easy" to "oh my GAWSH I can't believe I just DID that!", carrying the user of the manual from beginner to advanced. The end pages are reserved for tracking your results with already laid out charts. I've been using a number of the routines recommended in the book, and can testify to their efficiency in getting me in GREAT shape! The expertise and knowledge shared in this book will transform many lives, (as it has mine), and I highly, HIGHLY recommend it!
