Summary: One of the Best Books You'll Read!
Review: "Vision gives significance to the otherwise meaningless details of our lives," the author tells us. He goes on to talk about how God is interested in the visions of each area of our lives. Using Nehemiah's rebuilding of the wall in the Old Testament as an illustration, he describes how God works behind the scenes in the lives of those who pursue His vision. This book is highly reflective, by that I mean he has questions at the end of the chapters that help you to plug into the points being made.

What he's ultimately discussing is the life well-lived. In seeking God's vision for one's life, faith and total dependence on God are essential. In living such a life, one is in pursuit of God, the Giver of the dream. Glorifying God becomes more important than accomplishing tasks. Ultimately fulfillment comes from connecting with the Creator.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE EVER READ
Review: "Visioneering" is an outstanding book!!! It has helped me very much in understanding everything involved in receiving visions from God (A vision is God's idea not yours)and in how they are implemented. The chapters dealing with subjects of how visions frequently take a long time to come about and the chapters relating to the leader's moral integrity are worth the price of the book by themselves.

"Visioneering" is highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Bring Your Vision to Fruition
Review: If this book won't light your fire, your wood's wet!
Andy hits it out of the park with this quintessential work on vision. Vision is a term which has suffered from over-use and has become almost cliche in the business world over the last few years. Everyone "has a vision." Andy Stanley reminds us that vision was God's idea long before the success gurus discovered it. He takes us back to the ancient visionary and workhorse Nehemiah, and gives a VERY practical look at the steps God took him through as he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem.
Nehemiah faced an impossible task, made possible by God of the Possible, working through His servant.

Books of this genre have been so overly produced and hyped, it is sometimes difficult time to separate the wheat from the chaff. Andy Stanley's work will stand the test of time. I believe it may be a classic in its field.

Summary: Dare to Dream
Review: In "Visioneering," Andy Stanley provides the motivation, the plan, and the encouragement for developing and fulfilling your God-given dreams. Nehemiah's vision for rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem is used as a classic example of the things God wants to accomplish in the lives of everyday Godly dreamers. The subject of vision is masterfully defined while practical
steps for vision formulation and achievement are carefully explained and clearly illustrated. The book makes for enjoyable, inspiring, and empowering reading. Visionaries waiting for the fulfillment of their dreams can draw good counsel and encouragement from this book. I highly recommend "Visioneering" to anyone who dares to dream. I would also encourage the serious Christian visionary to read "The Power of Vision" by George Barna. The two works bring balance, clarity, and fullness to each other.

Summary: Motivational, Practical Advice On Actionable Visions
Review: It has been a while since I have read a very practical book on building your vision and fulfilling the actions to make that vision come alive. Too often, books on visions and mission statements are more theory books with little practical value. Written with excellent references from the Bible of great leaders that needed a lot of help in getting their own life's direction onto God's fast track, you will find this book to easily relate to today's business needs.

I found Andy Stanley's writing to be fun, concise and practical, with each chapter well appointed with bolded key points, thought provoking questions or excercises for personal application.

I have already recommended this book to both business collegues and christian friends, both church leaders and laymen. Whether you are wanting more out of your business career, your church committee position, to better define your bible study group's future direction, or to supercharge your life back on to God's well designed plan for your life, this is a great place to inject some smart advice.

This book will easily be a book that I will reference again and again in the future.

Summary: Vision casting how to's at it's best
Review: The only thing lacking is a study guide for small group or Team study at your local church. The techniques are biblical sound. A must read for those who want to know how to create, cast and live out their vision.
