Rating: Summary: Wonderful and Comforting Review: After reading many books by several empowering authors such as Betty Eadie, John Edward, Sylvia Browne, and Tiffany Snow, that I am still reading, my life has opened up to me in such a compelling and wonderful way. This new book is well written, and thought provoking. There are great transforming authors, who shift the consciousness of humankind in a way never known before, and have the courage to reveal their paranormal experiences. "Everything Happens" is one of these.
Rating: Summary: Wrong title Review: From the title, "Everything happens for a reason", I expect to read about things that revolves in life and how it happens on reason. But, mostly this book talks about DP. In fact, this book talks about the experience of how the author dealt with the DP for her clients and some successful story of her clients. At the end of the day, I gain nothing from this book because, I still do not understand the terms where the title claims to be: Thing DOES happen for a reason. Even the editorial review of this book is misleading: "If you've been wondering why you were born" <--- Mainly, in this book, the author mention we are here to learn, depending on what should be learn by each individual and nothing goes further describing about it. I really think the author should start to think of a better name for her future book because obviously, the content of this book does not contain an enrich information about everything happens for a reason. On a lighter notes, I do find some of the related stories told are pretty interesting. However, not enough to amuse me.

Rating: Summary: Wonderful and Comforting Review: I found this book to be easy to read and easy to understand. It opens the door for why things happen and how to deal with the situation. It is most comforting and the author makes you feel like you are there and she is talking to YOU. My only suggestion, please do books on tape so that this message can be heard by the blind, disabled, and the very busy person.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: I just finished reading Suzane's latest book, Everything Happens For A Reason, and absolutely loved it and highly recommend it. Her writing style is easy, relaxed - as though I'm chatting with a dear friend over a cup of tea. Although this spirit connection/afterlife is something I've always believed in and indeed have had visits from my grandparents, son, and father, all of whom have crossed over, I found the book to validate my beliefs and touch my heart and soul. I cried at some places in the book. I smiled at others. I felt compassion and tenderness for the people's whose stories are illustrated within. As with many people, I have experienced a great deal of loss in my life and I found this book to be comforting and reassuring. I have visited psychics since my divorce in 1984 and found a medium in my area in the past year and have visited him five times now - and intend to go again. My son passed tragically when he was 7 years old, my father passed four years ago, my grandparents passed through natural causes but they still remain with me and have appeared to me three times (once together, once each separately). I feel my son take my hand and smile up at me at the times I was deeply grieving a loss. My therapist is a metaphysician and has channeled my son. The medium I see has channeled both my father and my son. Most of my friends and acquaintances think I'm nuts and don't want to hear about it - but I know that this is real "stuff" and I thank people like Suzane who share their mediumship with the world and bring comfort to so many of us. Thank you for this book, Suzane! I'm about to start your other book "Second Chance". I love your writing style and hope to one day attend one of your classes. Brightest Blessings in Light, Love & Laughter, Sharon
Rating: Summary: Excellent, down-to-earth, description of mediumship Review: This book is sensitively written and presents a clear description of mediumship. I recommend it for those who are interested in the psychic realm and wish to learn more about how spirit actually communicates with the living. I also recommend it for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, and are seeking comfort. In a down-to-earth, sensitive style, Suzane Northrop offers a view of the spirit world, and describes spirit communication from the medium's point of view. Through personal accounts of her many clients' experiences, the reader gains hope and comfort. Through reading this book, the reader will understand that everything DOES happen for a reason, and there is more to life than meets the eye. A definite must-read for anyone seriously pondering the supernatural.
Rating: Summary: something new? Review: This book offers nothing new to mediums looking for stories on mediumship from a personal experience and its quite dull actually. I think its a vehicle to make the author famous and talked about.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: To really believe that "everything happens for a reason" even though we may not understand what the reasons are at this moment, tomorrow, or even at a later time is a concept to me that is truly mind-boggling. Knowing that everything has a purpose can make you stop and reflect on why situations happen, become aware of unresolved issues, and look at life differently. If you are searching for an understanding of why life on earth is often painful and unfair, or just a reason of what our purpose is in life----this book is a must read.
