Summary: Dry and Boring
Review: I ordered this book as the primary textbook for an independent study course in community psychology. While the text is thorough and up-to-date, this is one of the most boring textbooks I have tried to read. This textbook is poorly designed- no pictures, no color, virtually no charts and diagrams to compliment the text. As a student interested in learning community psychology, I found this an extremely difficult text. It put me to sleep every time I tried to read it. If you have a strong attention span, then this book is fine. If you need something more from a textbook than 300 pages of black and white print, then keep looking.
