Rating: Summary: Good people are hard to find Review: The first time I heard about Falun Gong was through watching a television program called ABC Nightline, sometime in July 1999. It was about the Chinese government killing people who practice Falun Gong in China. Two people were interviewed by the host of the program. One person was the ambassador from PRC, the other person was a spokesperson for Falun Gong. The ambassador spoke like a gangster without proper manners. On the other hand, the spokesperson for Falun Gong was very polite and resembles someone of excellent breed. By just comparing the demeanor of both the speakers, I easily discern who is good and who is wicked. Six months later, I began learning Falun Gong. I read an earlier edition of this book. A month after that I went to a practice site in Minnesota to learn the movements from veteran practitioners. There were about 20 people practicing at that site, and they are friendly people, just like the Falun Gong spokesperson that I saw on TV. Some are Chinese, some Caucasians and others. Today I am in Florida and I still practice because I benefit from it. Hope you don't miss it.
Rating: Summary: I don't think it's as good as they think it is Review: This book and these beautiful poetic teachings are what is best in humanity brought to the surface. Great truths of the soul of all living things. Unbelievably, this great motivating presence of truth in the heart is violently supressed in China. By eliminating those who see greater truths and higher aspirations contained in this wonderful book, they are systematically eliminating their own future. Buy this book for insight into just how oppressive China has become--see for yourself what they are opressing. Alchemy led to chemistry, and if these ideas seem irrelevant to your world, it may be because you do not see the future coming in these ideas and the great truths reflected in them. These ideas hold a torch for those higher aspirations and thoughts of mankind. I think the real problem there is that this book talks about individual differences and abilities. Ideologically incompatible with communist homogeny and control. You will see by reading that those who love these teachings also love the future and have hope. No civilization can last without these things.

Rating: Summary: What? Why won't they let you rate anything with NO stars? Review: What a giant load of manure. This nutjob says that he doesn't ask you to change religions, and he says he doesn't promise any "healings". Read this and his other books and you'll see how a maniacal Qigong instructor goes MAD I tells ya, MAD! Alien demons are on the earth, and if you're not one of his "disciples" (not change religions my rear end!) then they can get you! Oh, don't forget that once you start the "exercises" Master Li will send his spirit body and "install" a miniature of the universe in your belly. Did I forget to mention that he says that this is the only "real" Qigong practice? For claiming to respect other religions and practices, he sure does put them down a lot. Remember, if you don't practice faithfully, then there's no way for your brain to form a hole where Master Li, and ONLY Master Li , can open up your third eye in between your eyebrows. This stuff is like Chinese Scientology, only "Master" Li doesn't have the brains to charge people for his lies, he hands them out for free. Go buy Dianetics if you want to waste your money. At least THAT makes more sense.
