Rating: 1 stars
Summary: A textbook for professionals and teachers
Review: As a parent with a young child diagnosed with autism, I ordered this book hoping it would help me develop strategies in working with our child. I found it extremely difficult to read (and I am an avid reader who has been reading every recently published book on the subject of autism). The text is geared much more towards providing information for trained professionals, NOT for the average parent!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A "must have" book for people working with autistic children
Review: For years the Koegel's have produced and documented many of the current "best practices" used by people working with autistic children. This inexpensive paperback is an excellent summary of their contributions, for example self-management, natural settings, generalization. (my background is that of a child psychiatrist specializing in work with autistic children)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent example of ABA thinking
Review: When it comes to Applied Behavior Analytic work for people with autistic-spectrum disorders, you just don't get any better than this team. Robert and Lynn Koegel et al. have created some of the finest teaching materials available for those working with people with autistic-spectrum disorders. They are outstanding teachers and clinicians, and this work shows their skill in presenting what they do. This book, and similar ones they have helped to put out are highly recommended.
