Rating: Summary: A picture is worth 1,000 words Review: (refers to paperback edition) This textbook has been one of the most enjoyable textbooks I have ever read. Plotnik makes it very easy to grasp the basic concepts of Psychology and uses many interesting and creative visual aids for students reading the material. Each chapter includes a concept review section, a summary test, a critical thinking section, "links to learning" websites and study questions that really make you not only have to answer them by referring back to the text, but also drawing upon your own experiences in life. Plotnik repeats key ideas several times throughout the text (which I avidly read cover to cover) without making the material seem boring or unimportant. This is an excellent book for anyone who takes a freshman psychology class and I highly recommend it.
