Summary: The most accurate and succint methodology for meta-analysis
Review: There have been several books to introduce their own meta-analysis methods. But, some books have turned out to be overestmate or underestimate scientifically important construct-level relationships a lot. Mis-estimations can be lead to a very wrong decision. To this effect, the right choice of a method for meta-analysis is very very important and critical. The book is impressive, because this book is nearly the only book to introduce the most accurate method for meta-analysis with lots of insightful explanations. And, this book also provides very useful examples and questions for better understandings.
For those who have some knowledge in measuremenat and statistics, this book is based on the enhanced random-effect model and methods to correct for sampling error, measurment error, and other statistical errors like range restriction. If your fileds are I/O psychology, HRM, or OB, you must choose this book over alternatives, becasue this book provides lots of examples based on I/O psychology research. And, most meta-analysis research in those areas has been carried out using this method. The co-author of this book, Dr. Frank Schmidt also provides windows-based software based on equations in the book. With the software, you can do your own meta-analysis very easily.
