How about a new life! I originally purchased Mark De Lisle's first book, "Navy SEAL Workout." The results I experienced were nothing less than phenomenal. As soon as I found out that Mark had completed "Breakthrough To Master Level Fitness," I had to have a copy. Breakthrough blows away anything else I have encountered in the fitness market. I have purchased other Navy SEAL workout books and videos but they were either too incomplete or did not sufficiently layout an effective program. Breakthrough however, contains exercises for upper body, legs, cardio workouts, sprints, long distance running, abs and plateau breakers such as Burn Outs, Intervals, and Circuit Training. And with 12 Weeks To Better Than Ever, which lays out routines on a day by day basis, you can't wander off the path to improvement. With the 12 Weeks, I simply took the evaluation test and checked off each day. The routines were laid out right before me. It even told me when to do my burn outs, intervals and circuits. With the new book combo, I have been able to take myself up another notch. For a middle-aged business executive with heart disease, I need every edge I can get. I highly recommend this book combo over any other SEAL/fitness exercise book or video. Thank you Mark De Lisle, your program is saving my life and dramatically improving my lifestyle.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: disappointed Review: I ordered the book online with only reading the review, I was comparing this book to Stew Smith's book. Both books have some good points. I have to say that I was waiting for this book so I can dream of working my but of to get in the shape similar to a navy seal. I was looking for more explainations on how to do a sidestroke and tips for better running. He has somewhat of and explaination on the freestyle stroke. He does have decent explainaitions on the exercises. It is a good routine to get results. In the book 12 weeks to better than ever I found it has a good set up of the routine and it is pretty simple to follow. I feel he lacks certain explantions to make it easier to understand what things mean. The routines will work you, but you will need an imagination to make up for ceratin things that are lacking in the books. I would have expected better effort in putting more into the books for the price and more explanations and pictures as far as how do to certain excercises. You might buy the book and feel that it is best thing for you. I just feel I had great expectations than I got from these books.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent Book Review: Pro's: 3 Levels of Difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. "12 Weeks to Better Than Ever" gives day by day workout plans for 12 weeks at each level. So actually there are 36 weeks of workouts in the book, a definate plus to me. Also the workouts don't get monotonous; some days there are burnouts and other special plans which keep things from getting boring. Con's: None. Review: I just finished the first week's workout Friday, and I must say that I'm VERY impressed. After just the first week, I am noticing more muscle definition in my arms and legs. AFTER JUST ONE WEEK!!!!! The workout is not easy though, on the beginning level it's 45 minutes of torture. When I started I couldn't do ANY pullups, and he has you doing sets that total 20+ on the first day! He offers ways to cheat if you can't do them, (which I did) and now after the first week, and I can do about 4 regular pullups and a couple commando's. (in a row) I'm really excited to continue for the 36 weeks and see how I "turnout" It's an awesome book. I HIGHLY recommend it! It's worth twice what I paid for it. P.S. Make sure you buy the combo pack. One book is basically worthless without the other. ("12 Weeks to Better Than Ever" and "Breakthrough To Master Level Fitness") They complement eachother. (12 Weeks is the workbook to Master Level Fitness)
