Summary: Five Stars for a Perfect Title
Review: My meditation practice was showing me a lot of fear, both in common thoughts and in dreams. I read this book carefully. Then I got some good advice from a friend that pointed out to me my bias toward seeing "bad" outcomes, to the exclusion of "good" or "usual" outcomes.

I started seeing what I was afraid of, which took me into other issues, and later I found that my fears were gone. Indeed, the bad things that have happened to me have been blessings, because I had gained strength from them.

I still have fears, but these do not trouble me any more.

Review: The handmade quality of the text and illustrations are a perfect catalyst for the moving truth illuminated by the words. I will reread it at least annually for the rest of my life. You should do the same....starting now.

Summary: Too short and too simple...
Review: The main message of this book is that we should examine the process by which fear works within us. Unfortunately, we are not told how to do this. The author believes it is different for everyone. I might have been able to overlook this, but this was the _only_ practical advice given in the book.

I thought the handwritten format of the book was nice to look at, but it is actually rather deceptive because it camouflages the fact that the book is very short - both in words and advice. It takes about 30 minutes to read the whole thing, and you may well end up feeling like you didn't get anything out of it.

Save your money and check this one out at the library. The brevity and lack of insight don't make it a wise purchase.

Summary: The best book on fear yet
Review: This is a primer on facing fear. It offers extensive, concrete steps that work. Don't let the simplicity fool you - this is one powerful book. Huber's books are valuable tools for those wishing to wake up and lead more liberated, heartfelt lives. All of her books inspire continued study.

Summary: maybe simple is okay
Review: Well I am biased...I love Cheri Huber's books and own a few of them. The message *is* very simple, and I think the huge contrast in the reviews is interesting. This might be one of those books that you read a few times (if you give it a second chance) and think it is too simple, kind of lame. But then one day it just kind of clicks and you see that it is very wise and wodnerful. Maybe it is that her approach to fear simply doesn't work for everyone. It, along with some other things in my life,a ll worked together to help me reduce the amount of fear and anxiety in my life, but it isn't a CURE, and requires a lot of MAINTENANCE.

Summary: Junk
Review: While The Fear Book and The Depression Book might be amongst the best books in their class, they are still complete nonsense, which doesn't say much for this class of book. I regret wasting my money. I'd sell them on but I think people, particularly suffering people, need protection from this author
