Rating: Summary: Windy blabbering Review: Don't waste your time or money on this book. It is boring, and bland. If you are looking for spiritual books ,try Jack Kornfield's After Ecstasy ,Laundry.A un-put-downable piece of work.
Rating: Summary: Incredible Review: I found this book impossible to put down (and I'm usually easily distracted!). This book inspired me enough to travel abroad (for the first time on my own) to Germany (I don't speak any German) to Stadsteinach (where??) to meet some of the people that make this extraordinary charity work. I have since been introduced to an amazing group of people who are all working for good, without the dogma of any organised religions hanging over their heads.
Truly amazing.
Rating: Summary: A REAL story, about REAL people, making a REAL difference! Review: I'd HIGHLY recommend this book!! It led me to make big changes in my life.
Thom Hartmann openly shares his experiences of walking on the spiritual path, from first faltering steps to meeting his mentor and beyond. He is open and honest about his mistakes and his doubts, which makes his story easy to relate to.
The adventures of Hartmann and his colleagues through India, Russia, America and Europe made me alternately laugh, cry and shake my head in disbelief.
Having read this book, I travelled to a conference to meet the author as well as many of the 'characters' he wrote about. I assure you, they are all real, they are often larger than life, and they ARE working together to make a difference in the world.
Rating: Summary: From a German bookworm Review: The Prophets Way has been a guidance for me when I wasn't so sure about which path to take in life. It is a spiritual book but it is also a book about practical and meaningful help one can give to other people. If somebody is looking for what makes sense in life - here are very good examples.
Rating: Summary: Real Changes Review: This book was and is a real spiritual catalyst in my life in many parts. Thom Hartmanns spiritual experiences has the power to change
your point of view and your attidute what life means and seems to you defenitely.
I'm just thankful to get in touch with it at the perfect time...
Rating: Summary: Brilliant. A Must Read Review: This is a heart felt, inspirational real life journey by the author and his spiritual mentor Herr Mueller a German Christian mystic. Their journeys together working for Salem (peace) in creating homes for abandoned and disabled children in some of the worst areas of poverty and misery from Africa to Russia are both heartwarming and awe-inspiring and leave you feeling glad that there are souls out there who care enough to act.
This is a wonderful book. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Rating: Summary: A Spiritual Journey Review: Thom Hartmann shares his personal journey of a higher order. As someone with a firm belief in God, but frustrated with organized religion, Hartmann's book melded with and expanded my intuition about things ethereal. Previous exposure to Eastern mysticism prompted me to be a bit of a "doubting Thomas" and it was reassuring to read of Hartmann questioning some of the "miracles" he personally witnessed. This vital book imparts wisdom and light that we can all incorporate into our lives. The Universal Intelligence is too great to fit into one church or one belief and through this book, Hartmann reveals God's presence in everything and everyone. Blessings surround us in abundance and this book helps bring the reader to that realization.
Rating: Summary: What it is to be human... Review: Thom Hartmann writes humbly and with great passion, laying down an amazing true story of stories while visiting the edge.
Hugely compelling, distinctively human and zooming in on the "small" miracles of life-as-it-really-is, this is probably the most inspir(it)ing book I've ever read.
Take the risk and read it, too!
Rating: Summary: A Must Read Review: Truly an inspirational book. An excerpt of this man's life that helped me realize that there is so much more to life. It helped me realize how lucky I really am to live where I do, when I do.
Don't read this if you don't care to be moved. It may just put you on a path to help improve this world. I know it did for me. Once your eyes are opened you can't turn back. I suppose it was my little red pill. I am now free from the matrix.
