Rating: Summary: Comic relief Review: I adore this book. If I'm having an off day, this is one of the first books that I pull off my shelves. The tongue-in-cheek humor is perfect. However, I wouldn't consider this book to be a teaching tool... unless I wanted to show a student that witchcraft does have elements of comic relief.
Rating: Summary: If you are serious, these spells WORK!!! Review: I am a collector of love spells and have found this book filled with wonderful spells, useful information and myth shattering facts all written with a realistic sense of humor. When raising energy for love and romance, it is easy to get bogged down in the seriousness and self-imposed importance of its presence. Lilith reminds us that it is joy we are looking to call to us and we need to be serious yet light and joyful! I must say that I am particularly partial to the 'Jethro' spell. In three uses of it , I have yet to fail! I can't wait for her next book!
Rating: Summary: A funny, but seriously written book! Review: I have been interested in spells every since I was a little girl. Never have I read such a work from an author who can, at times, laugh at herself and what she believes in. Lilith tells the reader exactly what to do for these spells to work, and lays down the ground rules first. A must-have for your library!
Rating: Summary: A Must Read! Review: I have been practicing witchcraft for a year now and this book has been one of my favourites on my shelf!Well sorry that you wont find any naughty spells to turn your ex-boyfriend into a slave and i am happy that you wont-cause as Lilith asserts in her book what goes around comes around, you wont escape having trouble due to causing people trouble and the trouble will come to your path threefold. The book includes a huge variety of spells from different cultures-especially from the roman mythology and culture. The spells do work when enough energy is sent to the nature. You will also find the basics and the principles of witchcraft, beneficial info about the tools of the craft. her humourous way of writing,so creative and earthy, hopefully will be beneficial for the solitary witches to understand that witchcraft has its own way of living,a living thats so familiar and spiritual. But this book-you wont regret it!
Rating: Summary: Great, detailed book Review: I personally think this book is great. Ms. McLelland is very witty and I enjoyed reading it. Other readers have stated that you must approach this book lightheartedly, to which I agree, but isn't life just that way? I used the "Rotten-to-the-Core" spell and in my opinion it worked just fine. Ms. McLelland states first and foremost that one must keep the Wiccan Rede in mind or suffer the consequences, good advice for beginners and good reminders for those of us that have been around the magickal block a few times. And remember that you don't always get results over night, you sometimes have to work for them!
Rating: Summary: Salem Witch's Book of Joke Spells? Review: If you take this book as a joke, it is absolutely wonderful. However, if you buy this book looking for real, honest spells, then, well, you've bought the wrong book.Mainly, the spells that are listed are purely psychologically healing rituals, but not really spellcraft at all. Many of the spells that are listed are good for a laugh, but not to seriously try. Just the opinion of this witch, of course.
Rating: Summary: Love ya, dudes and dudettes... Review: It's only me, Lilith. I wanted to thank all of you for your kind reviews. (Susan, I have a new book coming out, so give me another shot at it?) Whoever it was who did the "Jethro" spell 3 times -- you GO girlfriend, and send the leftovers my way. (Didja get any who looked like Russell Crowe, by any chance? Just checkin'.) The book is temporarily unavailable because of a change in publishers, but should be back in print by about October 1. Again, thank all of you who bought the book, and I really do appreciate it. You guys have MADE my day! To say the least. (Do ya love it that I gave myself five stars? Mom used to say that modesty is a virtue, but I just don't get it...) Keep those potions bubbling, Lilith McLelland
Rating: Summary: Lots o' love Review: This book is a wonderful resource for the basics and for historical information on love spells and love magic. Also includes friendship and family spells, and love reversing spells. Lots of information and lots of fun!
