Rating: Summary: Sound, Movement, and Tears Review Review: Bravo to the author! This is a must read book for everyone, especially parents! It gives you the knowledge to use "Sound, Movement, and Tears" for the daily stresses, past trauma's, and unknown reasons for depression in an easy to read and interesting style of writing. If everyone would use "Sound, Movement, and Tears, I believe this would put a stop to the depression, guilt, and violence in our society today! Every parent should read this so we can start teaching our children the importance of releasing the energy before it builds up as a lifetime of self-hatred and resentment that most adults have experienced. I have had aches and pains over the years and doctors could not explian why. I have had every test imaginable, but since reading this book and getting in touch with my feelings by releasing the pain or hurtful words through crying or screaming (in private), they have disappeared and I now have a better marriage, better outlook on life, and a better sense of myself. I felt the author (Cynthia Herman) was talking to me such as a friend next door would. I was amazed that so much wisdom could come from someone who wasn't in the psychiatric field. What a wonderful, simple concept to exert by just releasing the natural energy God gave us! Thank you Miss Herman for changing my life for the better. I will suggest this book to all my friends and people I don't know who need a simple life changing way of coping and dealing with their own bodies!

Rating: Summary: Sound, Movement, and Tears Review: I absolutely loved this book. I am on my 3rd time reading it. There is an amazing amount of information that you can't possibly grasp all at once. The first time I read it I barely reached page 30 and I realized this book has and will continue to change my life. I have read many self-help/spiritual books and this is by far the most impressive one yet. I have recommended this book to at least 20 close friends and family members. I have yet to hear one negative comment. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a fresh idea regarding life.

Rating: Summary: A provocative yet deeply argued call for self-honesty Review: Sound, Movement, And Tears: The Natural Way To Release Illness And Stress, Be Loved, Be Rich, And Be Thin addresses using and experiencing emotion as a way to guard against and lesson the impact of illness. Written upon the principle that "Emotion is not mental - it's a physical change in our cells," it follows that emotions do not simply vanish, but must be released specifically through personal responses to negative events. Refusing to cry leads to physically sickness inside. Recommended for students of personal spirituality, self-help approaches, and New Thought metaphysics, Sound, Movement, And Tears is a provocative yet deeply argued call for self-honesty and self-acceptance, especially appropriate reading in a modern world that still drums in the highly destructive message that only "sissies" cry.
