Summary: Thank You from the bottom of my heart
Review: After the death of my father, I read many grief books and I was extremely disappointed. My aunt gave me Beyond Grief and I was so pleased. It is truly the best book I've read on this subject. Ms. Staudacher's book is exceptionally written and provides immediate comfort. Beyond grief gave me a sense of peace and understanding that I haven't been able to get at this most challenging time of my life. I have since purchased her book for friends and survivors of loved ones who are eternally grateful as well. I am looking forward to reading A Time To Grieve.

Summary: a voice of reason and compassion
Review: I found this book in the library after the death of my mother. It became a vital source of intelligent, gentle reassurance and guidance as I struggled through the grieving process. I've since given the book to many many friends who have lost loved ones, and have returned to it myself on occasion.

Summary: a voice of reason and compassion
Review: I originally bought this book for a friend who had lost her son in a tragic car accident. She told me it helped her tremedously and still keeps the book out on her counter between her kitchen and dining room, the pages are well worn. Since then I always give this book to friends or family recently expereincing loss. the reviews from all are the same, each one states it hit right on what they were thinking or going thruough.

Summary: A Friend In Need
Review: I was given this book after the death of a brother and father in a very short span of time. The information helped me a great deal, especially hearing the experiences of other people in grief situations. It made me realize I wasn't so different and that I could get through this.

Summary: incredibly helpful during one of lifes toughest times
Review: The death of my father was my first experience in the journey of grief associated with death. This book was given to me at the time of his death, and although there were a lot of tears to accompany the reading, it made me realize that I was not going crazy. It does not have a religious foundation, but deals more with your feelings, the stages of grief and how to help with recovery. When my stepson was murdered two years ago I reread the book and it was again very very helpful. I encourage everyone who is in need of understanding of the grieving process after a death, to read this book.
