Rating: Summary: A very helpful book on chakras and Kundalini Review: As a person who was totally blind on Kundalini, this book has given me very complete information on Kundalini from different aspects. It has also given detail instructions on how to prepare the body for the Kundalini awaken. For those who need information on Kundalini or on how to do practice as preparation for Kundalini awakening, this book is a definite answer!
Rating: Summary: Worthless Review: David Kofler's review says it all - I need not repeat
Rating: Summary: Dreadful Choice Review: I am researching Kundalini Shakti and thought this book may be of help. However, it soon became apparent that I had erred when the author stated that she had been instructed by 'higher beings', that the Aquarian age was forcing previously esoteric knowledge into the public domain, that the alignment of the planets would have some affect on my Kundalini and that I should indulge in free form dancing. The bulk of the text regarding Kundalini appeared little more that exercises in auto-suggestion and the actual chapter on how to release the Kundalini lacked precision. I could not recommend this to anyone seriously interested in Kundalini
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable, understandable and enlightening Review: I enjoyed this book, and continue to do so. It is written clearly and simply, without a lot of convoluted psycho-babble and over-"hinduized" analogies. Kundalini is a real energy force, as are the chakra "wheels." Whether the Hindus claim Kundalini for themselves, or the Buddhists or Christians...it makes no difference. Incorporating Kundalini energy work into one's specific religion is a choice all are free to make. However, it must be kept in mind that Kundalini, separate and apart from all religious implications, is not (or should not be considered) a religion unto itself. It is more closely alligned with scientific truths, as Western medicine is at long last beginning to recognize. This book is a good place to start if you are interested in learning more about the awesome potential that lies within us all. There is no dogma attached, which is refreshing to someone like me. From this book one can dive into other more reference-oriented books on the subject.
Rating: Summary: Explains mysteries into every day language and awareness. Review: No longer are we afforded the luxury of living in a monastery/ashram etc in order to work on our spiritual growth. This book helps you to work with your own evolutionary (kundalini) energy and still raise a family, work a job and have a life. The meditations are easy for even the least disciplined person. The explainations of how to move this energy through your body for greater healing work better than any I have found so far. One of the best spiritual practice books I've read in the last 30 years!
Rating: Summary: Very helpful and practical exercises Review: There are several good books on the subject of kundalini, this is one of them. Yes, other books might give you more detailed kundalini theory. However in my case, I was experiencing challenging symptoms of spontaneous release I didn't understand and didn't know how to treat. And doctors certainly weren't able to help me... This book contained just the exercises with very clear pictures that I needed so I could do what I needed to do in order to feel better. Very practical and helpful. Sometimes you need more than just theory and this is the book to guide you for that.
Rating: Summary: Kundalini, The path to enlightenment Review: This book is a must have for anyone who wishes to understand kundalini and the speedway method to enlightenment that it is. It allows you to make progress in ways you could never imagine. Looking back on my life before kundalini it was like being colour blind. Ms. Paulson is a charming author who speaks with athority and wisdom. I recommend anyone who is curious about meditation, or is serious about seeking enlightenment to check this one out. Sincerely, Eric Lloyd
Rating: Summary: Very helpful and practical exercises Review: This book reflects sheer ignorance of its subject matter. Those who rely on it will be disappointed or duped. Admittedly, there are not many books out there that cover this subject well, but they do exist, and their funtion and utility are all the more critical when one considers the confusions and falsehoods propogated by the likes of Paulson's book
Rating: Summary: It really works! Review: This is a clear and beautifull written book. The book in itself is a teacher and guide of the Kundalini energy. No more secrecy about this energy, it's written all in this book and how to release it yourself. I had some awesome Kundalini releases by reading this book and it guided me through every single experience and I felt safe and comfortable!
Rating: Summary: excellent book. One of the best ever written. Review: This is one of the best books on kundalini. I have been meditating for years and didn't understand the symptoms I was experiencing until I read this book. A great book on raising kundalini safely and without trauma. A classic.
