Summary: Don't buy the old edition--look for the 14th edition!
Review: Amazon lists a lot of old editions of this book--most prominently the tenth. The 14th edition is the current one, and the only one with up-to-date information. It is readily available. The old, out-of-print editions have information that is out of date. If you are looking at a listing that says "out of print," that is not the current book. Make the effort to find the current, in-print, 14th edition!

Summary: Dying at Home Can Be Done
Review: When our son was dying from a rare disease called Hurler Sydrome my wife picked up a copy of this book. Using information in this book allowed us to have our son die at home. I built his coffin and we laid him out for 3 days before his funeral service at our church. He was the first funeral in the church in which a body was actually present. My close friends and I hand dug his grave and placed the concrete liner. His burial service was attended by his young friends and they helped us fill the hole after his coffin was placed. This book gave us up to date and very realistic information. It is written with senistivity and is an essential guide for those wishing to forgo the services of an expensive funeral home. This book eased our sorrow. Marshall Hansen, Arcata, California
