Summary: A wonderful life saving insight
Review: The book Nick Williams has written is dealing with our problem of arrogance and being humble in the way we live and work. In that separation lays the cause of our suffering in daily work and lays at the same time the solution. Nicks tells how to free ourselves out of our own built prisons by being aware of it and being aware of the fear in our lives. This cultural embedded fear is preventing us to make connection with our love and our creativity also at the workplace. The gift of the book is that it makes clear and convinces that is possible to realize a paradigm shift in our minds. The shift in being humble at the workplace in the way we want to serve, to contribute and to give. The message of the book "The work we were born to do" is like a beam which enlights through the crack in our broken hearts.

Summary: A gift worth receiving
Review: The Work you Were Born to do is not a book I was able to read through quickly. I found myself mulling over the ideas in it, returning to the text at a later time as if enjoying a substantial and nutritious meal, which, in a way, this book has been. I am someone who is more receptive to the ideas of those who wish to share their journey in understanding and personal growth than to those who present themselves as having already arrived and this is probably why I enjoyed the book so much. The ideas resonate strongly for me, particularly as someone who is in the process of changing his work life to something with more `soul' and more joy.

Nick Williams says that we all have gifts and that our true joy lies in expressing these gifts and sharing the essence of who and what we are about through our work. Not only does Nick say this but he does it. There is an essence coming through in every chapter of `The Work you Were Born to Do' that is so unique and valuable, that it speaks chapters in itself. Nick Williams clearly 'lives' and gives through this book and by doing so it exudes integrity. I see his book as an important paradigm busting piece of work.

The author draws from a very rich variety of teachings and ideas, both ancient and contemporary, as well as from his own inspiration and experience. These are all tightly knitted into a coherent whole and presented in a set of twelve easily understandable and accessible principles. These are however, radical in respect of how we have become accustomed to thinking about work in our times. Practical and courageous, this book is at the end of the day not just about work; it is a spiritual and life teaching which uses the down to earth world of work as its focus, and in so doing brings an important message right into the centre of our lives. `The Work You Were Born to Do' is a gift well worth receiving.

Summary: Bound to become an evergreen of new age literature
Review: This book focuses on finding the work you love and learning to love the work you do. It's main strength however lies in how it relates to all aspects of life and it offers a breadth of advice and information that deserves a place on the bookshelf alongside the dictionary, the thesaurus and the encyclopedia as essential books for regular reference when needed.

Summary: Finding Your Purpose at Work
Review: Working in the field of Personal Development as I do, it rare to come across such a truly inspiring book. Nick Williams combines inspiring writing with practical exercises that I found life affirming.

The book helps individuals uncover how they can make a difference and ovecome the fear and barriers that stop us putting this into practice.

For anybody struggling to break free from the chains of their current work read this book. It can change your life.
