Review: Animal companions are often our best friends and yet their lives are far shorter than ours. This book gently helps the reader when faced with and after the death of a beloved pet. An excellent resource for therapists, vets, animals trainers and the rest of us who love our pets.Hats off to the authors for a careful and gentle approach to a topic few of are willing to address.

Summary: Senior's and their loss fof their beloved pet.
Review: I gave this book to my mom who recently lost her dog. This devasted her and left her all alone. She talked to her friends only for them to laugh She felt then she had nooneto talk too. After reading and doing some of the exersizes she said it has termendously helped her with her grief process. I only wish more therapists would reckognize a need for this unique group of people who love their animals as their families. Thanks to the authors for this great book.

Review: This book approaches a very delicate and sad subject with such sincerity, understanding and discernment. Considering that many do not know how to deal with the loss of a pet companion this guides the reader through the various stages of grief, what to expect, what NOT to expect and a variety of other helpful topics. A must for all true animal lovers who need true compassion and a respite from those who may not understand just what it means to those who are in deep grief. Many of my pages are highlighted and have been read, re-read and will probably be read again. Give this gift to yourself in this time of need or if you know of someone in pain give this to them. It can only help. Still grieving over the loss of my wonderful pet but this is a tremendous source of support ready to read whenever I want to or am able to.

Review: This book should be in every household with pets, so it will be handy when you have to Say Good-Bye.
I wish it had been available when I lost my dogs and cats in the past.
It is a perfect book for adults, children and seniors.
I highly recommend it.
