Summary: So helpful and believable! Hooray for this book!
Review: A number of books are out there with people's hopes and wishes about being with their pets again. They hope their pets will live on. Some of them quote the Bible about evidence of this. This book has that, too.

But, what this book has that is so needed is evidence...real evidence. So many stories about people who experience a ghost pet's presence even if that experience isn't always visual. Sometimes the pet jumps onto the bed. Sometimes the owner doesn't see the pet but their present pet does and reacts. Many times more than one person sees or hears the animal. Even a case or two where people and animals see the ghost pet.

THIS is what I wanted. THIS is what I craved. Things that one couldn't just "reason away". And there are so many stories.

I recommend this book to anyone who has ever cried a tear over losing a furry or feathered part of the family. Heck, there's even a fish story. Nothing fishy about the book, though! Get it!!

Summary: The report of my death was an exaggeration
Review: Finally irrefutable evidence that there is life after death for our furrier, loyal, albeit mentally inferior companions (I don't mean you Grandpa).

A few years back we lost our beloved goat "Noodles" in a tragic wheat threshing accident, it was a gory, messy emotionally disturbing experience that left the entire family in a melancholy state for months. Yet, even after Noodles grizzly exodus, the entire family could still sense his presence. Except for Aunt Pearl who is still living the decadent flapper life of the roaring twenties in her deluded imagination but I digress. As I said we all felt Noodles presence. His favorite tin can was repeatedly found in his various hiding spots that he frequented from the Johnson's outhouse to Cousin Agnes's bloomers, no matter how many times we threw it out (the tin can not Agnes). We would also catch a faint whiff of manure and daffodils around dinner time which was always a sure sign Noodles was in the area.

So after reading this book we all felt better knowing Noodles had not really left us but was just in a different level of existence.

Thank you Scott S. Smith we all feel much better.

Also Noodles if you can read this please quit knocking over Mr. McKarbunkles trash before the situation gets ugly.

Summary: For anyone who has ever loved and lost a companion animal
Review: Reading "The Soul of Your Pet" confirmed for me what I have always known to be true - that animals have souls and these souls live on after death. I wish this inspiring book had been available when I lost my beloved dog, Martha, in 1995. Shortly after her passing I realized Martha was trying to let me know she was happy and that we still had work to do together. It was a peaceful vision of her in the arms of an angel that led to the creation of my book, For Every Dog An Angel.

It is clear the author has done extensive research on his topic. One feels the stories in the book are offered with sincerity, and with an open heart. He does not try to force his beliefs on the reader. I was particularly moved by the last chapter, The Inner Lives of Animals. In it there is a comment from Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, author of The Hidden Life of Dogs. When asked if dogs have souls, she answered, "If we go to heaven, so do they....because if dogs are not there it is not heaven."

I couldn't agree more.

Summary: Such an inspirational story, gives animal lovers hope
Review: Such an inspirational book, gives animal lovers hope. Well written guide, a must read for all pet owners, as well as an appropriate gift, when the right words will not come. Boomerang - A Miracle Trilogy, which is about the soul journey of a remarkable Boston Terrier, would be an ideal companion book to read, either before, during or after this one.

Summary: If you've lost a pet please read this!
Review: The pain, the terrible sense of loss, the tears I shed- the depths of despair I felt after losing my loving little dogs! It was such a boon to me when a good friend put together his book on pet souls. I read books that offered great comfort but I really needed more. I wanted proof that I would see my pets again but that seemed impossible to me. Before the book was finished I had already seen so many people's stories about encountering their beloved four-legged (or 2-legged) friends after they had died. I was very impressed when I heard that sometimes the living pets sensed and reacted to them too. I talked to some of the people as well. There is no doubt in my mind these things happened. A very important reason Scott had in writing the book was that he hoped that both Christian  and non-Christian researchers who exploit animals in labs and elsewhere would step back and take a serious look at how God values them. Even the non-believers will not be able to give a reasonable alternative explanation for a lot the stories in this book. It is clear that animals are important enough in God's  scheme of things to go on after they have left us. The Lord gave them souls. They will resurrect just as we will. He writes also of their intelligence and wide-range of emotions. I have no doubt our pets will be in Heaven. They are going to all praise Him it says in the Book of Revelations. Since God's throne is in Heaven I assume that is where they will do this. Also, I have read of near-death-experiences where people have seen them there. And fter all, could it really be Heaven without those wonderful animal companions who gave us such unconditional love?

Summary: This book made my loss easier to accept
Review: This book helped to ease my broken heart. For anyone that has lost their beloved pet,The Soul Of Your Pet is a treasure. It made my heart smile again instead of crying myself to sleep at night. I recently passed it on to friend that just recently lost her puppy baby. She commented on the strength it has given her to move forward as well.

Summary: Convincing and so helpful
Review: This book should be read at all stages for pet owners: before you adopt your friend or "baby", while it is young and healthy, and when it is getting older. There is so much in it to show clear evidence that animals will be on the other side forever just as we will. So many people are afraid to read anything about this subject before they've lost their dear companion. This is a mistake. This isn't a book about grief counseling, to be avoided because of fear of facing the inevitable. but rather shows a wonder of hope (and evidence) of the afterexistence of animals whether dogs, cats, horses, birds-- any pet.Read it, tell your friends about it! They love their pets too! The topic is beautifully presented, with such cheering true stories of people's seeing their beloved pets after they have passed to the other side. But strangers see them too, at times. Some incidents depicted tell of everyone but the owner seeing the "ghost" pet. Sometimes there are several visits. They are either seen, heard, felt or combinations of these phenomena. This book can save a lot of people a ton of grief--the thought that they are forever parted from their pets because of erroneous teaching of some churches and general skepticism. Of course we miss our companions, but knowing that they still exist-- and are waiting for us can make all the difference in the world!

Summary: Much better books available
Review: This one is a real waste of your time and money. For those of us who are searching for biblical reference to finding our departed animal friends in our next life, well look somewhere else. This book will do little to comfort you.. ...
