Review: This is a beautifully written, excellent resource about the practice of Reiki, a method of energy healing. I recommend it to anyone interested in alternatives to traditional Western medical practice.

Summary: Breathtaking!
Review: This is the best book I have read about Reiki so far, despite that it does not reveal any so called "secrets" about Reiki or perhaps that is why I like it? Then I have to walk my own path with Reiki and find my own answers within.The Takata version of the Usui and Reiki history isn't considered to be the accurate one and I agree with that, but for me it's more important to get inspired and connect to and express myself with the Reiki energy in itself rather than bicker about the past. I feel that Reiki as a healing method is much older than a 100 years. This book contains so much love and respect at the same time as the pictures are thoroughly detailed and incredibly beautiful and uplifting. This is a very go(o)d foundation to start from on your Reiki path and also a very beautiful gift to anybody who is interested in Reiki and wants to know more.

Review: This is the book I require my Level I students to read before their first class -- especially those not familiar with energy work. It is very informative and overviews all aspects of Reiki, without being overly detailed. It is beautifully illustrated and includes many quotes from students. It is my opinion that this is the best introductory Reiki book in print. It's energy is pure love.
