Then, inspired, I purchased Janice Novak's video (rubber bands come with it), and started using it about five times a week. The video has the same information, but it's easier for me to follow along with a video rather than flip through pages. The neat thing is that several friends have asked me, "Have you lost weight?" I haven't, but I look thinner and feel terrific. I've had rounded shoulders for 56 years, but my posture has improved enormously. This book should be a bestseller.

Based on my experiences this evening, this statement is right on target. I had several errands to run, and while doing them I continuously applied the author's one-minute technique. I couldn't believe the number of male heads that turned, but the clincher came when a guy walked up to me and told me that his friend was interested in meeting me. Neither one of them was older than 22. I'm almost 43!!! I haven't had attention like this in years, and I did absolutely nothing different today, except for working on my posture. This book claims that you will look 10 years younger and 10 pounds thinner. I'd say more like 15, on both counts. If these are the kinds of results the book provides after I've read just two chapters, I can't wait to see what happens after I've finished the remainder. While this book may not improve every reader's love life, I'm convinced that it *will* improve every reader's health and appearance.

Review: The techniques in this book released back tension I did not even know existed. I had become accustomed to bad posture. If you have bad posture this book will show you how to fix it.

Review: This book is filled with excellent information. The one minute to better posture produced very quick results. When I changed my workstation as specified in this book, my neck stopped hurting. The tips for adjusting car seat, a life saver. I thought my poor posture was hopeless but the info and exercises in this book really delivered. The best $12 bucks I've ever spent. I highly recommend this book. I saw the author on the Oprah Winfrey show and was very impressed.

I never realized all the different ways you hold your body that cause you to have poor posture. Janice not only tells you to "stand up straight," she gives you exact instructions, from head to toe, of how to hold your body properly. She then gives a lot of excercises that strengthen specific muscle areas, helping your correct posture become more natural and easy to attain. I found after reading this book, that when I previously attempted to "sit up" or "stand up" straight, I was doing it wrong and actually looked just as bad as in my "naturally" poor posture. Now I know exactly what to do to look great.

Review: This book is great for those of us who may have spent many years bent over a desk, & are looking for practical, easy to follow tips on how to straighten ourselves up, & to alleviate that mild lower back pain from being just a touch out of allignment. The writing style is easy to read & understand, & so are the exercise descriptions. The exercises are also very easy to do (as opposed to some posture books, where the descriptions are hard to follow, & just not practical). My lower back is feeling a lot better thanks to the tips for stretching & standing up straight in this book.

Review: This is the best book I have read on the subject - and I have read many. The book has several types of exercises aimed at strengthening the muscles required to hold a good posture. Exercises use bands or tubing as well as a mat. Several stretches are also shown. The book covers the impact of footwear on posture which is usually given a token mention in most books. Furthermore, the implications of playing golf, cycling, running, weightlifitng tennis & walking are discussed. A great book all around.
