Summary: The truth shall set you free.
Review: Rob this is an amazing book! I want to thank you for your perseverance and courage in writing this. I am so glad that you have shown us the truth. As I read through the book there was such a strong feeling for me of your sisu(a Finnish word that means kindness, strength, perseverance and courage). In the face of this "diet" world you have really continued on a path that I know has not been easy, lined with skeptics, nonbelievers and people saying you were wrong. But thank you for sticking with the truth and bringing it to all of us and in turn leading us to a life away from the continual diet treadmill hell. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The truth shall always set you free. I can not wait till everyone discovers you, they are in for such a treat!

Summary: Just not for your eating habits.
Review: This book discusses how diets screw with your body and your mind. Starving and depriving lead to your body going into starvation mode and your metabolism going to hell so you can't lose wait. Constantly thinking about what you can and can't eat gives you a food obsession so all you think about is food. This book is a guiding hand to lead you out of the swamp of emotional eating, unconscious eating, and food obsession. When you stop and think about it, the same can be said for shopping. You may actually need a pair of shoes, you may need four pairs of shoes, but do you really need 15, 20, or more. You have a pair of jeans that fit, do you really need 5?
This book discusses how to fill a need and not to overfill a need (much like filling a gas tank but not putting so much gas into that it spills onto the pavement)
Once you get a handle on this issue the weight (and credit card debt) naturally goes down.
Just wait until you stomach growls, eat carefully, and stop when you are no longer hungery. When the TUMMY is happy, not when the mouth is! If your not hungry don't eat!

Summary: Excellent book--finally someone "gets it"!
Review: This is absolutely the BEST book out there on losing weight. From start to finish, it never wavers from its core message: to successfully lose weight and keep it off, eat anything you desire ONLY when you are physically hungry, and stop when you are no longer hungry (not full).

The author, Rob Stevens, describes his attempts at losing weight and how he found this method that works for him. He does a superb job defining hunger, how to find it, what it is, and what it isn't. Just as importantly, Stevens tells you how to determine when to stop eating--something that is simple to do, once you know how and when to do it. It may take some time to unlearn some of your practiced eating behaviors, but once you apply this method, you will be on your way to losing weight. It works for the author and it definitely works for me.

Unlike other approaches to losing weight, this one actually says you can eat what you want (even junk food!) and means it. There are no "bait and switch" tactics here. You're not tricked into thinking that you can eat what you want in the beginning of the book and then learn at the end that it isn't true. There are no silly recommendations for eating any foods other than the ones you love to eat. No wacky recipes. No expensive (and potentially dangerous) supplements to buy. No exercise recommendations. No same-old same-old dietary advice that we've heard ad nauseam: "Eat 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day" (even if you don't want to). "Make sure to eat protein with EVERY meal" (even if it makes you gag). "Eat dessert infrequently" (even though you notice thin people all around you eating dessert anytime they want).

Want to know how thin people can eat what they want and stay thin? Read this book. Want to stop counting calories, carbs, protein, fat grams and exercising obsessively and still lose weight? Read this book and apply what it tells you. It works.

The book is succinct and quick to read. You can begin to utilize and benefit from its information immediately.

Fantastic job, Rob Stevens!

Summary: The Biggest Unknown Secret That NEEDS To Be Known!!
Review: This should be the ONLY book under the subject "weightless" in book stores, libraries, etc. The author addresses common sense behavior that makes us go back to the basics to just simply listen to our bodies. Eating only when we are hungry and more importantly, eating til we are "satisfied" -IT'S SO SIMPLE & OBVIOUS!! The difficult part is deprogramming all the years of contaminated advice that has been published by the diet industry. I now know that it does not have to take a Pythagorean Theorem and 4 hrs of weighing/measuring food to get back into shape. I thank Rob Stevens for giving me that "AH-HA" moment.
