Rating: Summary: Excellent for beginners! Review: I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning beneficial Qi Gong exercises, particularly without an instructor. Each exercise is clearly described and accompanied by individual photos as well as sequence pictures. I have several book on Qi Gong, but this is the one that I chose for my daily energy exercises because of the clear directions and great photographs. It is a wonderful guide and a valuable resource, especially for beginners.
Rating: Summary: Good One !! Review: I thought this was a very well presented book. The author has fulfilled a very useful purpose. I have noticed improvements in my being in a very short time. Trust it !!
Rating: Summary: Pleasant from beginning to end. Review: It is very easy to get into Qigong through Stanley's book. He is a very energetic person and that attribute shines through his words.-- SIDE-NOTE: But isn't Pal Dan Gum really "9" movements? (Movement 5 is divided to stretching the trunk AND the neck...two movements in my opinion) -- Being a student I didn't really have the financial-leeway to purchase one of the more expensive Qigong packages such as Spring Forest, but thankfully this was there when I needed it. I have been practicing Pal Dan Gum for over 2 months now and I can honestly say that when I look ahead to 10 years from now, one thing I know for sure is that I'll still be practicing it every morning! It is a pity that there are no online-communities specifically for Pal Dan Gum. It would have been very nice to mingle and network with fellow practioners.

Rating: Summary: Qi gong for beginners by Stanley Wilson Review: Qi Gong (chi kung) is an art of stretching for energy and health. More basic than other disciplines, it is also easier to get started and can be done just about anywhere at any time. You can also start again after a layoff without too much pain or agony like other regimine. A worthwhile read.
Rating: Summary: A great Qi Gong primer Review: Qi gong can seem overwhelming, which is why this book is a little gem. It gives you the essence of qi gong as well as a valuable start with 8 exercises, all very clearly demonstrated with a series of step-by-step photographs. Whether you just settle for this or decide to take it further, you would not be wasting money on this book.
Rating: Summary: It has helped me. Review: This book has really helped me. For the last 20 years, I have had back and neck problems resulting from a car wreck. I also had a constant pain in my shoulder from lifting weights. I started doing the Qi Gong exercises described in this book and within two weeks the pain in my shoulder had decreased and now I don't even remember which shoulder was hurting! My neck problems are less severe, also. I try to do the exercises twice a day, but if I don't get to them during the day, I perform them just before bedtime. I recommend this book highly.
Rating: Summary: Not the best choice Review: When Qi Gong developed in China for more than 20 years, Chinese people finally find Falun Gong is the most effective. So there are more than 100 million Chinese people practice Falun Gong before the government's persecution. But western society seems still enjoy the low level Qi Gongs. Why not directly start from high level Falun Gong? It is not difficult. When you try, you will know. There is an old Chinese saying: "Learn from the best".
