Rating: Summary: No Disclosure of Author's Agenda Review: There is a reason as to why there are no editorial reviews of any of "Dr." Reisman's "books". None of them represent scholarly research, but are propaganda publications for a variety of organizations hiding behind Dr. Reisman's skirt. Here is a specific rebuttal from the Kinsey Institute: In its 1998 response [1] to the core allegations made by Reisman, Kinsey Institute director John Bancroft stated:
1. The data on children in tables 31-34 of Kinsey's Sexual Behavior of the Human Male came largely from the journal of one adult "omniphile", who had illegal sexual interaction with these children. 2. The man's journal started in 1917, long before the Kinsey Reports.
3. Kinsey explicitly pointed out that the data came from the journals of adults who had such illegal sexual contacts, but he granted his source anonymity.
4. Kinsey did never have any sexual interaction with children, nor did he employ others to do so. He interviewed children in the presence of their parents.
Dr. Reisman presents no evidence to the contrary, only hearsay and unsupportable statements presented as fact.
This book should come with a disclaimer indicating the bias of the author and that it is an editorial opinion from the author, not a book discussing or presenting facts. Potential readers should "google" Dr. Reisman's background and associations before purchasing. Ample material on Dr. Kinsey's background, pros and cons are also readily available on the internet.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read for Every Parent! Review: This book is a well researched, well laid out exposé of an American giant. Dr. Reisman writes in an easy to understand, step-by-step manner. I had read biographies of Alfred Kinsey before. In them, Dr. Kinsey came off as being a little too perfect. This book hits hard. The most telling thing is that the most damning information on Kinsey comes from the man himself! This is the man who's successors have the ear of our public schools. As a parent, it is absolutely chilling to me that these are the people who advise our education dept. on what is appropriate to teach our children regarding sexualality. Thank you Dr. Reisman for exposing this man and his followers for the criminals they are!
Rating: Summary: Self-Published Polemic Review: This screed should cost less. If you write and ask nicely the "doctor" might send you one of the copies she keeps in the trunk of her car.
