Rating: Summary: Why do we need Kabbalah? Review: At some point in life, most of us begin to search for ways in which we can find credible answers to the questions that trouble us. Why are we here? Who made us? Where do we go when we die? Will we see God when we die? Will we see our loved ones again? What is this life all about? Is it really only about pro-creation? What’s the purpose? Then it seems the moment you say to yourself, ah just forget it! This is just too overwhelming! Besides I may never know and what can I do I’m just one person? Then we find ourselves once again being pulled back into seeking an answer. It seems never-ending. So why do we need Kabbalah? Because Kabbalah is given to us as “a springboard for change.” Kabbalah for Beginners tells us how we can investigate and define our position here in the universe. It’s a wisdom that tells us the reason why we exist, why we live, what the purpose of our lives is. It tells us where we come from and where we are going after we complete our lives in this world. Kabbalah gives us a practical way to find answers to the major questions of life. I consider this book to be one of the easiest books to read and will enjoy passing it on to friends. Enjoy!!!
Rating: Summary: Was Disappointed Review: Bought this book because I was interested in learning about Kaballah. However, after reading the book I only have learned a brief history of Kabbalah. Still have no clue exactly on what Kabbalah is or the principles. This book had a high rating by previous readers so I am disappointed I didn't seem to "learn" what they must of learned about Kabbalah. Almost like this is a book to read before you want to know or understand what Kabbalah is.
Rating: Summary: Learning how to control our destiny Review: Excerpt from the introduction:"The laws of nature, our place in the world and our behavior have been studied by scientists and philosophers for thousands of years. Along with logical assumptions, science uses quantifiable research and data. Yet our scientists and researchers have discovered that the more they advance in their research, the more obscure and confusing they find the world to be. The progress science has brought into the world is beyond doubt, yet it is limited. Man's inner world, his soul, behavior and sources of motivation cannot be measured by scientific tools. Man, the major component of the creation, is still left without knowledge about his role in this universe. Man has always been looking for answers to the basic questions of life: Who am I? What is the purpose of my being here? Why does the world exist? Do we continue to exist after our physical being has completed its tasks? In this world of constant pressure, some find temporary satisfaction in Eastern techniques, measures aimed at relaxation, or reducing suffering by minimizing personal expectations and desires. Various forms of meditation, nutrition, and physical and mental exercise quiet man's natural instincts and enable him to feel more comfortable from the point of view of his physical state. This process teaches him to lower his expectations, yet leaves him in conflict with his true desires. Our life experience teaches us that we have unlimited desires but limited resources to satisfy them. This is the reason there is no way to completely avoid suffering. That is the subject of Kabbalah."
Rating: Summary: GREAT STARTER BOOK Review: Good book well written. It comes from a source that is credible and that I am comfortable with unlike a lot of the kabbalah books out there which are more for mass marketing as opposed to actual education. and are written by people who are not at all knowledgable or qualified in true kabbalah. U need to realise that this book is merely the one of many stepping stones in the learning of this subject
Rating: Summary: Was Disappointed Review: I am a beginner in Kabbalah I wanted to say that i just did not find such a book among all kabbalah books i could find until now in my location. What makes the difference is that this book speaks about yourself, not about abstract or philosophical concepts. This book can change your life ! I am not a native English speaker, so please forgive my English that is not very correct. But maybe the fact I let you know that some persons are actually reading this book even in stranger tongue will indicate how valuable it is considered in our location, much more than a simple book ...
Rating: Summary: This book gets right to the point! Review: If you have ever asked yourself the questions concerning our existence then this book is for you. It will start you on a path of discovery most people are unaware of. A grand adventure awaits.
Rating: Summary: I learned how to enjoy my life Review: The question of receiving maximum enjoyment while still living in this world is the central question of our existence; all other questions are just little pieces of it. The science of Kabbalah answers this question in a systematic and practical way. However, these great pleasures will be avalable to you only after some serious spiritual improvements. The book "Kabbalah for Beginners" by Michael Laitman is the best place to start your spiritual growth in the right direction. Once you start reading this book (and the rest in the series) your eyes will literally open and you will see the TRUTH about the structure of the world. D.K.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, simple intro book Review: This book gives a great (but general) overview about Kabbalah. If you are curious about this subject, this book is a quick read and can inspire you to go ahead and read and learn more. And it comes from an excellent source, Rav Michael Laitman.
Rating: Summary: The Way! Review: Two years ago I came across my first book by Rabbi Laitman and it changed every part in me since putting an end to the constant search for the spiritual pass. Just give it a try and you will see for yourself...
Rating: Summary: A fabulous introduction to the study of Kabbalah. Review: What is the meaning of my life ? Is a question that has tormented man for centuries and has caused great philosophers the world over to seek an answer to a question that seemingly can't be answered. Kabbalah is a science which provides the answer to that question and this book will introduce the reader to that science. I strongly reccommend this book to anyone wishing to get a genuine introduction to the wisdom of Kabbalah.
