Summary: Tom Warren had a brain that burned
Review: I first read Tom Warren's book BEATING ALZHEIMER'S in my bioloical dentist's office where I went to have mercury safely removed from my teeth. My regular dentist had poisoned me after drilling into a "silver" mercury filling and allowing me to breathe the mercury vapor. The thing that caught my attention with this book was Tom Warren said his brain burned. My brain also burned after being exposed to the mercury vapor. When I did a heavy metals test with an ACAM doctor, high levels of aluminum also showed up. So I think there is a connection between high levels of mercury and aluminum in the brains of Alzheimer's patients. I also initially lost my memory after exposure to mercury.

Every Alzheimer's patient should read this book to find out that there is hope for Alzheimer's if they will find an alternative doctor to get the toxins out of the body and brain! The first toxin that must be removed is mercury from the teeth, just like Tom Warren did. Read Hal Huggins' book IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD to find out the safe way to remove mercury from teeth.

Summary: Patient-driven Medicine
Review: This book deserves a reading by everyone who is affected directly or indirectly by Alzheimer's or other conditions causing "brain fog." Although conventional medicine offers absolutely no hope at this point in stopping or reversing the course of dementia, the author does. Careful not to promise recovery (lest the FDA pounce), he nevertheless lays out a detailed alternative program that proved successful in his own life--he was pretty far gone mentally--and in the lives of numerous others afflicted with Alzheimer's and other debilitating diseases.

His basic premise is that many such problems are the result of an accumulation of toxins that overload the body's primary systems, including the immune system. He targets mercury fillings as a major culprit. Numerous studies have revealed that the 52% of mercury--one of the most toxic substances known to man--in so-called "silver" fillings leaches out into major organs of the body, reeking havoc on neurological functions.

The author also recommends various dietary and environmental changes in lifestyle to speed recovery. In addition, he lists numerous related books as must reading for anyone seriously determined to take an active role in combating the disease.

Although some may find the author's suggestions unorthodox, he offers hope for recovery, where conventional medical wisdom offers none.

Summary: Get rid of the toxins and get well!
Review: This book is a must read for everyone who is affected directly or indirectly by Alzheimer's, dementia, and other conditions. The authors basic premise, based on his own experience, which is a facinating story in itself, is that the accumulation of toxins in the body are primary contributory factors of Alzheimer's and other disease conditions. He cites mercury filling as a major culprit in stealing one's brain. The author is a pharmacist and his lucid moments he would write notes to his wife telling her what detoxifing modalities he wanted to try. He had the mercury removed from his teeth and it did not change things. However, some time later when his gums were x-rayed a tiny sliver of mercury was found in the gum tissue. He had surgery to remove this minute piece of mercury and at the moment of its removal he experienced complete lucidity. Tom, beat Alzheimer's and I am convinced anyone can.

Summary: Patient-driven Medicine
Review: Tom Warren was brave enough to recover from Alzheimer's disease and generous enough to share his approach with others. His book is written with Alzheimer's and schizophrenic patients in mind but has a wealth of information useful for the treatment of many autoimmune diseases. Warren's dual accomplishment is amazing - recovering from Alzheimer's and outlining how others can do so. This book deserves a much wider audience.
