Summary: Nothing New?
Review: As the author of this book I felt compelled to respond to the review by Trisha Brudsal. Having spent 20 years of research and development on this book and CD I can tell you definitively that no such quote or example of this quote exists on the CD. The audio portion of the CD is a guided meditation. It seems curious that if you were reviewing a CD that was a guided meditation that would you not mention something about that?
I felt a responsibility to make you aware that the review by this person is completely arbitrary. Please use the Search Inside the book feature if you wish to make an accurate judgment. (If you are curious you can use this feature to copy and paste the quotes from this persons review). If you have any questions or concerns you can reach me at KellyBurris.com

Summary: Nothing New
Review: The best thing about this CD is, unfortunately, the marketing. It is a very brief CD which instructs you to spot your negative self-talk and change it. Example: "Why didn't I stick to my diet plan? I can never stick to anything!" - Change that to "It's hard to stay on a diet and I'm actually doing a great job!" There - now you have the condensed version and you have saved your money! There was nothing new - if you've read any self-help or diet books at all, you've read this advice before.

Summary: The Answer to Permanent Weight Loss
Review: This book offers the solution to permanent weight loss. As a psychotherapist I have seen many problems emerge from clients resulting in being overweight. This is not another diet book with another eating plan for weight loss. This is a book about the subconscious mind. The workings of the subconscious mind are the core reason why people are overweight. People eat for various reasons, anger, sadness and other emotion driven states of mind. The subconscious mind becomes programmed to maintain the status quo and even through sheer willpower resulting in a temporary weight loss, the subconscious mind will cause the indvidual to re-gain the weight. Why? Because the programs that caused the original weight gain is still in effect. Mr. Burris has indentified and perfected a process that actually re-programs your subconscious mind and disrupts the negative cycle permantely. Clients have informed me that for the very first time in their life they are not thinking about food throughout their waking hours. I recommend this book to psychotherapists and physicians that have clients struggling with weight control. I believe this book may change the way that weight control has been treated in the past. This book is well written and easy to understand for both professional and layman. It is destined to become the classic mind body book for taking control of your weight.
