Rating: Summary: Decent book, needs more detail. Review: You could tell this book was written by a seal. It's direct, to the point without a lot of extra detail. I read the entire book in twenty minutes. If you are going into BUDS or any branch of the military I recommend this book. If your like me and looking to supplement a workout program this may not be the best book for you. The book lacks explanation on proper technique for many of the moves. I've done some personal training and found most people don't know how to do a proper push-up or pull-up. If done improperly you probably won't hurt yourself you just won't get as much out of it. The book doesn't get into how fast to do the exercises. The slower more size the faster more explosive strenght etc. or how long to rest between sets. It would also have been nice if the book showed which muscles each exercise works. I also recommend getting a pair of wrist wraps for the various pull-ups. For the average guy your forearms will give out way before you back or bicept. With wrist strapps you'll get more out of the workout sooner. Besides I'll probably never have to kill anyone with my thumbs and don't really need the kung fu grip.
