Summary: For New Walkers Only
Review: I am a big fan of Leslie Sansone and her walking tapes and have several for variety and love them all. I recently bought this book based on the reviews of others but found it really was geared to those who are new to walking. There is one small chapter for advanced walkers but it doesn't really tell you anything you don't already know if you currently do Leslie's tapes.

If you are just starting out walking, you may find this book contains some good information and inspirational stories. But if you are already a "Walker", your money is better spent on a new Leslie Sansone DVD to make sure you have variety in your workouts and a subscription to Weight Watchers magazine, which will provide you with more insight into healthier eating habits.

I returned my book. Sorry Leslie.

Summary: Leslie does it again!
Review: I am a total addict of Leslie Sansone's Walk Away programs - I had many exercise videos, but never stuck to anything until I found her energizing, fun, and most of all easy workouts.

In her personal, talking-to-you-like-a-best-friend style, Leslie shows you how regular exercise benefits you in all ways from your health to your body to your mind and then presents her easy to follow basic workout which consists of three walking steps that are interchanged and sometimes modified while doing the program.

There is no dieting in this program! She is a strong proponent of getting up and moving to better your life and shows it here by offering a few modifications you can make to your way of eating to help you lose weight, but no real diet, which I think is great! It helps to show that the real health factor is getting the exercise you need, not feeling deprived of the food you want which is why many diets fail.

She has many success stories to motivate you peppered throughout the book and closes with a discussion about how stress affects your life and how you can beat it through exercise.

I love Leslie! She is personable, motivating, and a great teacher - I am forever grateful to her for getting this former couch potato, at-home mom to stick to an exercise routine that I know will always benefit my life.

Summary: GREAT book!
Review: Leslie Sansone has created a great book! I follow her videos at home and reading this book has really helped me understand a few more things about her goals and what we need to do to achieve them. I read this book yesterday and I could not set it down! I finished it with tons of new information that I will be able to use!

She is an amazing person and she expalins her theory on losing weight and how we can try it as well. She creates a helpful log for each day to keep us on track and motivated. She also explains how and why she got into this business.

If you are ready to lose weight then this is the book for you! You should also check out some of her walking videos. I was so dumb to buy a 1,000 elipitical! I use her every morning before breakfast while my eliptical is folded!

Summary: Walk and read it off!
Review: Leslie's products have helped millions of people start bringing fitness into their lives. She is a great exercise enthusiast and teaches the reader a great deal. Her videos are great for walking at home in front of the TV. "Walk it Off! w/ Julia" is another great tool for walking outside, in the mall--not walking in place. It is a CD/audio in line with Leslie's philosophy. I would add to also get a pedometer so that you know how many steps you are getting each day. The Step Diet book is an excellent resource for this and has tables for steps/calories burned conversion. I got my pedometer at www.walk4life.com (they will give you a free walking CD that I mentioned above w/ your pedometer)
This book is worth the money, makes a great gift for someone who needs fitness in their live and will change yours!

Summary: This is the BEST book out yet! Leslie is AWESOME!
Review: You won't be dissappointed if you buy this book. It covered many (if not all) areas of life! Leslie is so motivating and inspiring! I could not put this book down! I read the whole book within 2 days! I have been going by this book this past week and have already lost 2.6 pounds! This is the best book anyone could ever buy! I can't wait for the next book she has coming out next January!
